asian string with MSVC

Post by MoonKid » Fri Jun 05, 2009 12:56 pm

I have a string in a dialog

Code: Select all

...
wxT(" 前田 龍 (Ryuichi Maeda) alias PRISMTONE\n created the font used in the blackfiks logo.")
...
With MinGW it is correct displayed in the dialog.
But if I build the project with MSVC++ 2008 ExpEd there is only string salade.

What is the difference? And how can I fix it?

The difference is probably the encoding of your code file. Make sure your file is encoded as Unicode (and that the compiler knows about it and supports it)
"Keyboard not detected. Press F1 to continue"
-- Windows

It is encoded in UTF8.

I don't know if the MSVC compiler knows and support it or not? There is no error while building it and in the code file I can see the asian string correct.
