wxTimer don't refresh

Hi,
i have a problem with wxTimer. My Window struct:

wxFrame               (Mainframe)
       -wxNotebook    (Notebook with 5 pages)
           -wxWindow  (Page nr 2 <-- here i create and call the Timer)
                -wxWindow    (Renderwindow 1)
                -wxWindow    (Renderwindow 2)

I create in the "wxNotebook Page 2" an wxTimer and call it every 20 ms. In the OnTimer method I refresh the content of the two "render windows". But it refresh only when a other page is visible. I mean, the timer runs only when the Page nr 2 isn't visible. What is my error??

Might help, try calling Refresh(true), i-e forcing the backgroud to clear.
