Is scintilla updated?

Post by Trikko » Mon Nov 12, 2007 9:06 am

Searching on SVN logs it seems that scintilla version used on wxWidgets is 1.70 (the last one - that "run natively on osX" - is 1.74). Is there any plan to update wxScintilla?

Would like to revive Trikko's request - Scintilla has seen

* crucial improvements in Unicode handling
* separation of style bytes and doc bytes so it's possible to add more indicators for HTML/XML docs

recently and I think lots of wxW application are missing out because wxStyledTextCtrl is still several versions back.

How much work is involved in updating this? Compiling from source on Linux this looks straightforward (drop in new source files and recompile) but obviously we'd need to cover all ports and I'm not sure if that complicates matters much.

Hi,

this is a support forum, you are currently talking to wx users, if you want to reach the devs try the mailing list and/or sf tracker :)
