If I were to create a minimal sample I'd probably find the problem myself. I tried to make it simple in the form of questions so that wouldn't be necessary. I believe the answer to the following question will solve my problems. When you call panel.SetSizer(sizer) can that sizer resize the panel? If ...

OK, here is the code. This is the xpsWizard.h followed by xpsWizard.cpp. This class is inside the wxDialog....m_parent refers to the dialog. The code of interest is in 2 functions mainly....xpsWizard::xpsWizard (the constructor) and xpsWizard::displaypage that displays each page one at a time. This ...

Please Help with Sizer issue. Not sure if bugs or features.

I am creating my own wizard class as the wxWizard class doesn't allow you to edit the panels using form editors in wxDevC++ and I believe the wxWizard is overly complex. Instead I have a wxDialog I open and put several panels into it. Then I instantiate a new class of my design (called xpwWizard) in...

Temporary fix for those working with the release candidate.

The big bug is where wxforms are getting corrupted. What it appears as is one or more of your forms may appear empty after you reopen the project in the IDE. The solution is to manually edit the .wxform file using vim or whatever editor you prefer. Then check the Wx_DialogStyle line. I found there w...

It's killing me too.

I did discover that the controls are in the .wxform file but are not displayed on the form. It only seems to happen on the second form I create which in my case is a dialog. It's really annoying. I may have to go back a revision....as I am doing serious work with this. Are there any problems with go...

wxListCtrl won't center left column without some tricks.

I've been using wxListCtrl in a wxBoxSizer in a wxFrame. Now, first, wxDevC++ doesn't generate the correct code, so I had to call clearall and remove on the sizer and redo the column creation manually. Now, when I used InsertColumn with 3 columns, even though I specified format for Centering on the ...

I found out how to do it. It's undocumented. However, when it comes time to put the ListCtrl in the Sizer, it needs to be done differently than the generated code. Here is what I use... statetable = new wxListCtrl(this, ID_STATETABLE, wxDefaultPosition, wxSize(600,400), wxNO_BORDER | wxLC_REPORT | w...

Most of the RAD tools will create the handlers for you if you are using wxDevC++, wxFormBuilder, etc, etc...

Note that sometimes it's commmon (in lots of GUIs) to get 2 button events, one for the press and another for the release.

Maybe thats what you are seeing?

Good Luck.

wxListCtrl Allignment

I have a wxListCtrl inside wxDevC++ and it has 3 columns with vertical and horizontal rules as a Report. The flags are wxLC_REPORT | wxLC_VRULES | wxLC_HRULES. I'm using wxWidgets 2.8.8 My project consists of a frame with a menu and a statusbar. The main body of the window holds a wxPanel and inside...

I found the solution to my problem. I was setting the Item Count to 1000000 because originally I was planning on using a Virtual List, but that requires deriving from the form ListCtrl component, and I don't know of a way to do that from the form designer (I like to use the form designer wherever po...

A question about wxListCtrl and wxLC_VRULES....please help.

I am using wxDevC++ and am using a wxListCtrl with 3 columns. When I set wxLC_VIRTUAL, the wxLC_VRULES works and draws vertical lines between columns. However, when I change from wxLC_VIRTUAL to wxLC_REPORT (which is what I need to use), the vertical lines do not appear. The HRULES works fine, but V...
