Which linux

Hello Jorgen,

Thank you for the feedback.
I tried Ubuntu. It installed fine. Runs well.
I'm stuck trying to get an HP printer to work over a windows network.

BTW: how do I turn on HTML in this forum?

regards

re: Opengl Sample

look in Setup_inc.h

// Recommended setting: 1 if you intend to use OpenGL, 0 otherwise
#define wxUSE_GLCANVAS

found a ref to glu.h in glcanvas.h

While looking to solve another problem I ran across this: ///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////// // Name: wx/msw/glcanvas.h // Purpose: wxGLCanvas, for using OpenGL with wxWidgets under Windows // Author: Julian Smart // Modified by: // Created: 04/01/98 // RCS...

It's fixed. - Mismatch between the program and library build

Hello All, Mr. Hajo Kirchhoff, the guy that wrote wxVisualSetup (the great project wizard for msvc) was nice enough to point me in the right direction. I had tried to use the hint in the error: "The library used 2.6 (debug,ANSI,Visual C++, wx containers, compatible with 2.4), and wxGL used 2.6 (no d...

Fatal Error when try to run app in debug - using vc.net 2003

Hello Everything works fine in release mode. In Debug mode my app compiles and links fine but when I try to run it I get this fatal error: Mismatch between the program and library build versions detected. The library used 2.6 (debug,ANSI,Visual C++, wx containers, compatible with 2.4), and wxGL used...

re: wx/msw/hand.cur':invalid argument

buildere, >Why do you have wxWidgets installed in its own >("C:\wxWidgets-2.6.0")? I found wxDev-cpp after I had been using WxWidgets and regular dev-cpp for a while. So when I found it I uninstalled my old Dev-cpp and installed the complete wxDev-cpp package (wx-devvcpp-6.7beta_setup.exe) to d:\Dev...

I'll use some "#ifdef __WXMSW__ "etc. around them.
Thank you.

Is there a Cross Platform way?

Hello,

I use:
wxExecute("explorer c:\\",wxEXEC_ASYNC,NULL);

If works fine for Win32, but what about Mac OS X and GNU Linux?

Is there a Cross-Platform way?

glu functions work fine.

Hello romeo9423, The glu.h functions were not needed to write wxGLCanvas. If you need to use them just #include "glu.h" in your .cpp file as needed - and make sure you are linking the lib - glu32.lib (on Windows) . I did it and gluPerspective and gluLookAt worked fine. **** UPDATE **** I just checke...

Buildere, Thank you for the response. That's not it. The path is "D:/Dev-cpp" - no spaces. BWT: I do have "C:\wxWidgets-2.6.0" on my C drive and in My computer's Environment Variables I have a User variable "WXWIN" set to "C:\wxWidgets-2.6.0". With the error "Invalid Argument" and the garbage showin...

Strange

Today I booted the computer and read the suggestion in the reply to my post. "Set the path to the resource compiler". The only place I could find to set paths was in Project|Project Options -> Directories (tab). I'm assuming this is the path to the resources that the resource compiler compiles and n...

can't open cursor file `wx/msw/hand.cur': Invalid argument

Hello all, Just download (5/17/2005) the latest wx-devcpp set up. When I try to compile the Opengl example, I get: Resource error: can't open cursor file `wx/msw/hand.cur':invalid argument I've searched the group and have tried the suggestion to reset the paths to the resources and includes. I'm usi...
