Re: When drag the sash line of wxSplitterWindow, the target line has offset

It looks like this is an theme issue, my PC was using Windows 7 standard theme, as you see my previous screen shots.

I just change my theme to "Windows classic", and then this issue is gone. :(

Re: When drag the sash line of wxSplitterWindow, the target line has offset

Very strange. Even if i comment out the wxSP_LIVE_UPDATE, i don't see that problem with any wx version. Can you test this on another PC? OK, I will try another win7 PC and report back. OK, I just tried built application on another PC(which is Win7 64bit professional edition), and this issue does no...

Re: When drag the sash line of wxSplitterWindow, the target line has offset

I post a thread in the wx user maillist, see here, and I see that the window position is not correct, see this post: https://groups.google.com/d/msg/wx-user ... 4n3vlfAAAJ

Re: When drag the sash line of wxSplitterWindow, the target line has offset

OK, thanks. But I think I can reproduce this bug in the "splitter" sample. I just build the sample with this code changes: MySplitterWindow::MySplitterWindow(wxFrame *parent) : wxSplitterWindow(parent, wxID_ANY, wxDefaultPosition, wxDefaultSize, wxSP_3D | /* wxSP_LIVE_UPDATE |*/ wxCLIP_CHILDREN /* |...

When drag the sash line of wxSplitterWindow, the target line has offset

Hi, when I run this example 1 code in the : WxSplitterWindow - WxWiki page, I see that when I use mouse to drag the sash line in horizontal direction, the target line(a hint line) has some offset to the mouse position. See the screen shot as attachment, any ideas what does this happens? grag-sash.pn...

Re: wxStyledTextCtrl - crash when only using constructor

From the call stack of the crash, it looks like your crash is related to this bug report, and now it should be fixed in the master header:

Re: wxString support for string_view?

I can't find any discussion about string_view in the maillist.
Indeed, I have the same question, so maybe I need to ask on in the maillist?

Re: Any method to build a big wxTreeCtrl progressively in GUI thread?

Sorry if I'm completely misunderstanding and wasting your time. Anyway here's a third variation: Hi, New Pagodi, many thanks. It never wastes my time, I learned much from your examples, I mean it's a step by step tutorial. This "builds" the items of the tree in a worker thread and then throws a thr...

Re: Any method to build a big wxTreeCtrl progressively in GUI thread?

Hi, New Pagodi, thanks for the updated sample code. I just test it, and it works fine unless when user click the "+" icon, it need to wait 1.5 second to see the children nodes. As suggested by doublemax, maybe dummy child nodes are created immediately after the click. In some cases, getting of a chi...

Re: Any method to build a big wxTreeCtrl progressively in GUI thread?

That control is probably way more convoluted than you need. Here's a much shorter example that I hope is more helpful: Oh, thanks, the shorter example is clear, I can understand the idea. The idea in both cases is the same though. In both cases, you have some kind of data in a tree form. You use th...

Re: Any method to build a big wxTreeCtrl progressively in GUI thread?

I have a sample of a control that does this in my github account . It's based keeping track of the tree control on with a wxSqlite3 database, but the idea could be adapted to use another data structure instead. The key underlying idea is that the nodes are only built when the TreeItemExpanding/Tree...

Any method to build a big wxTreeCtrl progressively in GUI thread?

Hi, for a wxTreeCtrl which may have many nodes and labels, I would like to build the wxTreeCtrl progressively. So a sub-tree may constructed when user expand a node, and we may only shows the nodes which is visible in the window, if user scroll down, then we may dynamically adding more nodes. Any id...
