Crash on FreeBSD

I met an issue with wxWidgets 3.1.2 on GhostBSD 19.04 which is a FreeBSD with GNOME desktop. The build of my App looks OK but it crashed on initializing globals. The same apps works OK on other Linux dists. I've no idea so I tried the minimal example of wxWidgets. It crashed at the same point. I tri...

Re: wxAuiNotebook: How to auto scroll to last opened one

After investigating wxAuiNotebook code, I finally hacked it by add the fucntion below to my wrapper class of wxAuiNotebook void FocusSelection( ) { if (GetPageCount() > 1) { int activePage = m_tabs.GetActivePage(); if(activePage != -1) { wxAuiTabCtrl* ctrl; int ctrl_idx; wxAuiNotebookPage& page_info...

Re: wxAuiNotebook: How to auto scroll to last opened one

Thanks, @T-Rex. That's what I was thinking. Just wonder why it does not do it automatically.

wxAuiNotebook: How to auto scroll to last opened one

Any idea to automatically scroll to last opened one when there are lot of opened tabs and the last one is "hidden". I have to click the ">" button to scroll to the last tab I opened.

SetSelection seemed not working. Should I emit any Event?

Re: wxAuiNotebook save and restore tabs

Not sure if wxAuiManager can do this for the pages of one wxAuiNoteBook. You should have a try Save position info: wxString panelStatus; panelStatus = m_AuiManager.SavePaneInfo(m_AuiManager.GetPane( m_InfoNotebook )); m_Config->Write( wxT( "/UIView/InfoWindowStatus" ), panelStatus ); Restore: m_Conf...

Re: wxAPP::OnExit not called with wxWidgets 3.1.1

Hi, Catalin,

Do you think it's OK to use DeletePendingEvents in OnClose handler? I met some tricky issue that OnActivate was called after OnClose.

Re: wxArray usage!

Is there a official milestone for replacing the old macro-based containers? There are lots of API still using them as input/output. To conclude, in your code: 1. Stay away from the old macro-based containers, they are relics of pre-STL times and not to be used. 2. Use standard containers such as std...

Re: Issue of changing background color of wxAuiToolbar

Sounds like the function was not supported. Why was it not added while refactoring wxAui.

Issue of changing background color of wxAuiToolbar

I tried to change wxAuiToolbar by calling SetBackgroundColour and Refresh as the same as the sample code of wxToolBar in the toolbar sample. It did not work.

I'm not sure if I missed something or it's a bug.

Re: wxAPP::OnExit not called with wxWidgets 3.1.1

The last question: You normally don't need Destroy() either (unless you have an override that must be called or something like that). Does this apply to all? I mean the dialogs I created for my application. I simply do clean up and handle veto in the OnClose handler of the dialog and call Skip() if ...
