To add to that, there are TONS and TONS and TONS of libraries that you can choose from to do this. One of the more popular open source libraries is known as LZMA SDK. 7 Zip uses this compression library and I believe it has a few functions that could help you out. But they're are a lot more than tha...

I recently have been researching the subjects. I think there are a couple of examples floating around that demonstrates that this is possible. I know you can integrate a basic Windows window with OpenGL. SDL is more of a library that is used for Events, simple OpenGL window management, basic Audio r...

It sounds like your wanting features from one version of wxWidgets but you want to use the main body of another. If thats the case, I think it safe to copy the features and integrate them yourself into the version of wxWidgets that you want. Then just recompile.

Trying to compile wxWidgets is troublesome for me ](*,). Unless I made an edit to the default sources or I need a strange configuration, I see no point in actually compiling it so I just simply use the precompiled version of the pack also known as wxPack. If you still want to compile it yourself tak...

Hi there, That was a bug , and it is fixed now in 2.8.9; to get the fix you should either take the last 2.8.x sources from svn or just wait for 2.8.10 to be released. Actually the only file changed for this defect was /src/richtext/richtextctrl.cpp but there are other nice RTC fixes in 2.8.9 that y...

Don't forget to delete the array.

EDIT: Nevermind, I see that it's returned and very valid. 30 minutes of sleep doesn't work.

Create some logging messages so you can track where it is using either printf, sprintf, or cout. Then execute it inside of bash. It should produce some text that will tell you everything you wanted it too. Also, produce some code that we can look at!

No. You have it inverted. MainFrm will call the parent constructor and create a wxFrame. As a result the parameters that are passed to MainFrm are used to create the wxFrame. For example: HelperFrame::HelperFrame(wxFrame *frame, const wxString& title) : wxFrame(frame, -1, title) { }; This will give ...

Well, I'm kinda at a loss. at this point, I would just cut my losses, download the latest binding to wxWidgets for PLplot and treat it as if its not included inside of wxWidgets. :/ In the 2.8.9, it DOES say that it is included with the library but it's not in documentation. Plus the header, if you ...

OKAY OKAY, I think I've got what your trying to say. So you have a bunch of .cpp files that you want to have access to a specific thread. But when you try to access this, it gives you a Access Violation error. Now, what I need to know specifically is the exact error. Also, give us a hierarchy of the...

I didn't see the point of the switch. It's not much of an improvement really and to add to that, the cost, the time, and the bugginess is a loss + loss + loss + about-the-same situation. What would cause them to do that? VLCPlayer doesn't seem to be as good of quality as other players that can adapt...
