Re: Tab Key being eaten

I can't think of anything either. My first thought was "try adding the wxWANTS_CHARS style flag", but that flag is already forced in the wxSTC constructor. So that's not it. I tried that explicitly as well as checking the sources where it is enforced as you just noted. I tried to remove "wxWANTS_CH...

Tab Key being eaten

Hi, I have hard time putting together a better title as I have a confusing problem right now. I have a program that have wxFrame derived class as Top-Level window. It then have few wxPanel derived classes hold together by wxAuManager. In one of the panels I have an Editor based off wxStyledTextCtrl ...

Re: Custom folding in a custom lexer with LEX_CONTAINER

I added the complete code as copy & paste section at the end. I am using Code::Blocks under Windows so I'm not sure about the build commands- I must admit I never took so much care about it since the IDE works great with wxWidgets. No hazzle, no long setup- just select wxwidgets and there you go. N...

Re: Custom folding in a custom lexer with LEX_CONTAINER

Finally :) I wrote to the google group and got unlocked. Would be cool if someone could proof-read this before linking it to some page. I definitely will do that. I would suggest at the end of tutorial you put a full working code one can copy and paste and compile and it will be nice to have compil...

Re: Custom folding in a custom lexer with LEX_CONTAINER

The fun thing is: I found the help function after I added the page... You just enter a new link in the browser like https://wiki.wxwidgets.org/TestPage and then it offers you to edit this page... Which ultimately creates it. I was a bit frightened that I'd mess up the wiki and delete the internet, ...

You can post how you got it just for reference.

And that Post will surely be helpful! =D>

Re: Custom folding in a custom lexer with LEX_CONTAINER

Yeah, exactly. I somehow can't find the button "create new article" or something like that. Since I am registered I could edit an existing article but I don't know how to add a new one. Seems there is no easy way to do it. Fortunately I found this help on how to do it. Check it out and see if you s...

You mean wa Wiki Article? You just register and then login there.
The editor is ugly IMHO but you can write nice article with it for sure!

Re: Two question about event and socket

the mapp is the parent :wxWindow* mApp; sorry. the code is this: wxPostEvent((wxApp*)mApp, wxThreadEvent(wxEVT_THREAD, threadsend)); Don't use wxPosEvent with secondary thread event rather use wxQueueEvent From the docs of wxEvtHandler::QueueEvent it clearly says QueueEvent() can be used for inter-...

Check if font supports bold

Hi, Does wxWidget wxFont (or anything else) provide platform reliable way to check if font have/supports bold and italic? Checking wxFont it have only a way to make bold and italic but provide no way for checking. Some fonts don't support Bold and Italic making my app weird when user selects such fo...

Re: Performance issue after migration

I would test the old version with newer compiler to be sure that it is not the one causing issues. If not then I would try latest dev/3.1 also to see if it was not an issue that is already fixed. That will narrow the search. Also check the changelog will be helpful in case the change is documented t...

Explaining what you are attempting with minimal code helps a lot.

That being said, do you have any child on wxFrame? Can you add wxPanel to wxFrame and catch events in wxPanel?

Re: How to use (XML or config) in wxPropertyGrid?

there is ni importing feature as far as I know.
You have to parse yourself the file and load the results into wxPG.

Adding such feature into wxWidgets itself is impractical and limiting
