How to add bitmaps to wxMenu ?

It's easily possible in WinAPI.
Anyone got a working wxMenu derived class for this?
Why it isn't part of wxMenu ? Any problems with Linux, MacOS ?

thx

That's the same thing as i mentioned before in a post to u. See how you can connect mouse events from the wxGrid base class to your derived grid class to handle a drag event. Understand how wxGrid handles mouse events. http://forums.wxwidgets.org/viewtopic.php?t=1756&highlight= If u got problems let...

U can simply use a range of id's for your buttons. enum MyIDs { myID_OK, myID_APPLY, myID_CANCEL, myID_DYN_BUTTON = 2000 }; YourClass::CreateButtons(wxArrayString strNames) { m_iAnySize = myID_DYN_BUTTON + strNames.size(); for (int i = myID_DYN_BUTTON; i < m_iAnySize; i++) wxButton *btn = new wxButt...

Check it. wxMDIBook 0.1

wxMDIBook provides additional features to the wxMDIParentFrame, wxMDIChildFrame, wxDocMDIParentFrame and wxDocMDIChildFrame classes of wxWidgets. * When a MDI child frame is maximized, the MDI is put into a fully functional notebook interface with icons . Effectivly this allows the user to choose wh...

HowTo: Print wxGrid ?

I've heard that the easiest way is to convert the wxGrid into html and then using htmlEasyPrinting class.

Anyone has done this before?

thx

Windows solution: From gdi32.lib AddFontResource(filename); RemoveFontResource(filename); eg. bool MyApp::OnInit(void) { //.... #ifdef _WINDOWS AddFontResource("fonts/Mono2.ttf"); #endif return true; }; int MyApp::OnExit(void) { #ifdef _WINDOWS RemoveFontResource(wxT("fonts/Mono2.ttf")); #endif //.....

I know that these are debug files.
But VC++ lib files are debug files too.

How do you explain such a difference in size ?
Or better, how can i make these files smaller ?

It extremly slow down the debug build of my project, compared to VC++.

Need settings help

I've compiled wxWidgets 2.5.3 with VC++ 7.1 which works fine. Now i've tried to use MinGW to create the same package. I get lib (*.a) files by MinGW which are 10 times larger than the lib files i got from VC++ 7.1 ! :shock: eg. wxmsw25d_core.lib ~20MB VC++7.1 ~200MB MinGW Is there any way to reduce ...

So lets think about some ways: 1. Get the char event in the window class which creates the grid ( works here). 2. Get the char inside a derived wxGrid class. Try to set wxWANTS_CHARS window style attribute. 3. Take a look at grid.cpp if chars will be handled there. Get message by wxEventHandler::Con...

Which header files i'm missing if i just get following compiler errors ?
I get following errors:
- id,fn are undefined identifiers
- missing ';' before wxEventTableEntry
- missing '{' before wxEventTableEntry
I'll try it with the described way of creating a custom event in the FAQ :wink:

U can use EVT_KEY_DOWN instead of EVT_CHAR.
