It works on XP... Well maybe your application is not suitable for 2003 server, or maybe it is wxdev-cpp...Maybe you should search for the existence of a patch for 2003 server. Anyway, I guess that the developpers of wxdev-cpp will be better suited to answer you.

Ok thx, but it seems that in order to oprevent the key accessing, I have to play with the registry base of windows. Anyway this is not the main problem, I think I'll be able to handle it.

Something embarassing with wxform files (not a bug I think)

Hello there, I noticed that when using the designer of wxdev cpp (the .wxForm files), if I had added some custom code to the .cpp file, it just throws it out, this prevents me from modifying the wxform file when I notice that I have forgotten an edit field for example, and makes me code it by myself...

Hmm, that seems to be a bit complicated to implement those validators, this must be because the lack of examples in the help...So I found a solution like I said in the other post, I use the method GetValue, and I insert my code in the function associated with a button "OK" that I added.

Create a virtual OS

Hi everybody, I didn't know what to write in the topic. In fact, I have to do an application which limits access to the computer to the user, by preventing him from using some keyboard shortcuts (windows + R, windows + E etc..) and the main appli frame should be the taskbar like windows. This taskba...

Hi, there might be a problem with the header or more probably the lib files included in your project. But I think that there should be other information, did you give the entire error message?

I did it! In fact, the method getstringselection was not the good one, I changed it to Getvalue and it worked. :lol:

Daam I don't manage to do it. Please take a look at my code:

printf("Adding %s hours\n",WxEdit1->GetStringSelection().c_str());

I tried with fn_str(), mb_str(), wx_str()... None worked. The program is well compiled, but the result is : "Adding hours".
Any idea?

Sorry, I made a mistake it seems that this may be a solution, but I can't find the c_str method despite I included wx/string.h in the header file... :cry:

err no, that is not what I was looking for, unless I missed something.
I just want the characters that I should write in order to insert a wxstring:

--> To insert a char: %c
--> To insert a string: %s
--> To insert an int: %d

etc...

Ok, but when I will write my request, how will I pass the variable? I mean with char * I can use %s for example : printf("sth %s\n",myString).
What can I do for WxString?

I enabled the cache, and it seems to work... BUT, I found what you said (getstring) and I don' manage to make it run. I tried several ways : char * ch = NewUserDlg.WxComboBox3.GetString(); char * ch = NewUserDlg->WxComboBox3.GetString(); char * ch = NewUserDlg->WxComboBox3->GetString(); etc... I got...
