I work with wxdev-cpp, so some files are created by themselves. I think I found in the file newProgramFrameApp.cpp what I should write instead of mainForm, "myFrame". But I have no access to this in the thread (myFrame undeclared). how can I acces it? Code of newProgramFrameApp.cpp: #include "newPro...

I don't manage to use wxPostEvent..I'm not sure I can access the main frame from the thread. wxPostEvent(mainForm, event); You wrote "mainForm", what does it represent in fact? I know that wxPostEvent waits for a wxEvtHandler object in its first argument, but I'm lost, I don't know what I should wri...

I assume you are doing this in a different thread? This is not recommended. wxWidgets as many toolkits is not thread safe. I would suggest create a mechanism where you post to an "non present" menu item, which ID you only handle in the event list but is never created. In that menu handler, update t...

Access a wxMenuBar through a function(pass pointer,address)

Hi, I have created a wxMenubar in my main cpp file, and I want to pass it in parameter to another function which itself pass it again in parameter to another function, and I want that this last function could access the menubar, to make stuff like wxmenubar1->EnableTop(1,true); Here is the way I pas...

Please post a backtrace Err...What is a backtrace? Anyway, I managed to partially solve the problem, but still doesn't understand what caused it. Actually, the thread "th" was defined in NewProgrameFrame.h, so that all the NewProgramFrame.cpp functions could access it. What I did is to decla...

To start with doing GUI stuff in a thread. Are you sure you can do that ? I added this wxMessageBoxes only for debugging. I'm not sure, but IMaybe try with a thread ctor like this ThreadServer::ThreadServer(wxSocketBase* socket) { Create(); wxMessageBox("debug in the constructor!!"); this->sock = s...

I found it, please excuse that noob fault: In fonctions.cpp, I had only written: wxString lire_req(wxString message) instead of wxString fonctions::lire_req(wxString message) Residues from the C, I guess... Btw, Heheh! Out of sheer curiousity, what's a "fonction"? "fonction" is the french nam...

Also, I'd double-check your project/makefile to make sure fonctions.cpp is in there... I don't know what you mean exactly by this, since in projects options/makefile, it is said about makefile addons or custom makefile. But in project options / file, when I click on fonctions.cpp and fonctions.h, i...

Heheh! Out of sheer curiousity, what's a "fonction"? fonctions.h just defines a class which contains fonctions implemented for my aplication. Are you sure you implemented that method in one of your cpp files? If you talk about the fonction myfonction, it's just an example, but the real fonction ( w...

[resolved]Linker error whereas file is included

Hello, I have included the file "NewProgramFrame.h" in my header file "ThreadServer.h". And in NewProgramFrame is included the file "fonctions.h". In ThreadServer.cpp, I use a class defined in fonctions.h. But when compilng, I got a linker error which says "undefined reference to fonctions::myfoncti...

I still have a lot of work to do and I'm late, so I've no time to take a look at the miniframe class (which I didn't even know it existed, thanks :D ), and I can't help you about the close button and the adding of another button in the titlebar since I do't know the methods of this class. But I thin...
