now, i just made a test project (actually i modified the template project of code::blocks), and added a few mouse event handlers and noticed this: without capture and release when i click, i see no mouse moved event. If i just add a capture in down, and release in up, then after an up event, i alway...

well i assumed that double click was fully handled by the file dialog, because otherwise it shouldn't close... But by what you describe, if only the second 'down' is parsed as a double click then the last 'up' occurs after the dialog closes. That make sense... Now for the motion after the up event.....

filedialog and double click

i have a wxFrame, and when a a command event is raised, i create a child, a wxFileDialog for choosing an image to load. I also have a canvas, where the loaded image will be shown. I created some mouse event handlers in my canvas, and each time an event comes, i log sth just for debugging. So i notic...

sometimes, if i'm lucky, things will load fast, but most of the time... :(

is there a problem with the server?

wxStaticText flicker

hello

i use a wxStaticText to show some values, whenever mouse moves. Problem is that this causes flickering.

i read that if i derive my own class from it, and create an empty onErase handler, the flicker should disappear, but flicker remains.

any tip?

thanks

i don't quite understand what you are suggesting. i'm thinking of catching the event of the scrollbars arrows pressed, and make it scroll faster, (and leave the scroll units 1 for precision). Which event is this; I can't figure it out. But mouse wheel still would scroll slowly due to the small pixel...

wxScrolledWindow precision issues

ok let me explain my situation here: i develop an application, which is sth like an image editor. So for the canvas area i use a class derived from wxScrolledWindow. Now let's assume that the image is larger than the canvas, so we need to define a virtual size, and a scroll rate (or use only SetScro...
