I can say one thing though. If you're making plug-ins for Mac, you'd better use version 2.6 because 2.8 and later put restrictions on the wxWidgets graphics which your host may not agree with. The 2.6 version still allowed both composited and non-composited windows. You may end up being incompatible...

Hi Michael, Any news regarding releasing the wxWidgets class soon? Let me know if there's any way I can help you. Cheers, Izhaki Hi, my previous post is kind of old and I released my program since. It's working rather well. However, I sold my code and the whole program to Peavey. No source code wil...

Re: Any news?

I'm very interested in using this component for my own software projects. Any news for it? Any decision if it will be released as open or closed source? Hello, some time ago this and other components where sold to a another party, and I have no longer the mandate to license it to 3:rd parties. This...

I believe you can pass some stuff with wxImage::SetOption(). Have a look at the sources for the image handlers to see how this is implemented. AFAIK there is no special meta info class/method.
Thanks. I will have a look :-)

Meta information in wxImage files?

Greetings,

I am wondering if it is possible to read/write meta information in the files that wxImage can read/write to disk.

It would be very useful for a variety of things even though wxWidgets is not meant for hardcore image processing.

If some code runs fine on 2 platforms but not on the third then it is a good candidate for bug report Indeed. ;-) Unfortunately I have no time, and no project set up for GTK. It now looks like I will be emulating the functionality with my own code. (I haven't written it yet but I would rather hunt ...

If you can post a minimal compilable sample demonstrating the issue, i could test it with 2.8. That is very kind of you. I am afraid there would be nothing "minimal" about it. I do have 2.8.3 available on the computer so I could probably check it myself. Thank you for your offer though. Perhaps I c...

Also, I think it is worth mentioning that there is hardly any Mac specific code in the wxScrolledWindow code. Could it be that Mac OS X is using floating point scrollbars or something?

wxScrolledWindow out of sync

Hi, I am using wxWidgets 2.6.3 of various reasons and can't change. I have a problem with the wxMAC version of wxScrolledWindow which otherwise works fine in the wxMSW version. I do not know if the problem was fixed in wxWidgets 2.8 but it can't hurt to ask if anyone has / remember a fix for this. T...

Never mind. I am going to do a bit of restructuring. I was using a global wxCriticalSection, hence the lockout over the processor boundary. One wxCriticalSection per DSP core is better...

CPU affinity

Hi, I am running several concurrent threads doing heavy duty DSP math. The DSP core has a GUI, and using regular mechanisms I synchronize the DSP & GUI using critical sections. Works fine. However, on multi core platforms it seems that the critical sections is hindering the execution on separate cor...

Thank you Ryan. This can be helpful. I wish I could use 2.8 :?

I appreciate hearing from you :-) Honestly, I can't see so many changes between 2.6.3 and 2.8 in terms of hid.cpp (?) But let me specify. The cr...

Thanks :-) I haven't found any strange behavior in this and a lot of beta testers are working on this version now and they are happy. So I suppose that if no one here have a very good idea why not use a timer based event pump, for Mac, I suppose I will go for it.

Hi, This "tweak" is actually done on Mac only, but the question is valid, I suppose, for all ports. I just want to run this by you and see if I get a big "NO!!!" in return ;-) I have built a plug-in, i.e it has no main loop. The plug-ins are loaded in music apps like Apple Logic, GarageBand, Cubase ...
