Use the EVT_UPDATE event: void your_handler::OnUpdateUI (wxUpdateUIEvent &evt); This function is called before the menu is displayed to let you enable/disable items but also select radio menu items or check them regarding your "app config". Then, in your dialog box, you just need to memorize the boo...

Can you post the code calling the wxHtmlHelpController object? (maybe there something wrong there).

Also try to test the help sample to reproduce your problem. If it can be repeated, you'll be able to find the solution faster.

We use the wxHtmlHelpController object for our app help file (zipped package as recommended). All the navigation with the link works well. Are you using relative or absolute links? Which version of wxWidgets are you using? (we still use 2.6.3 for the moment, we are about to release a new version of ...

I advise you to look at the "samples" directory which contains dozens of wxWidgets sample apps. You'll find a good one to base your work on.

i being the initial line index where you expect to insert the item (it may change, because the list may be ordered. That's why you are storing tmp and use it as the real line index). my_list being a pointer on a wxListCtrl in report mode. wxString buf; buf.Printf(_T("This is item %d"), i); long tmp...

try to edit the project file (with any basic text editor) and save it with windows line-ending characters (CR-LF instead of LF).

Visual Studio does not support project/solution files with non-Windows line-ending characters.

I advise you to use the wxFileSelector function directly instead of the dialog class: wxString wxFileSelector(const wxString& message, const wxString& default_path = "", const wxString& default_filename = "", const wxString& default_extension = "", const wxString& wildcard = "*.*", int flags = 0, wx...

Try a "search" on this forum. This has already been asked several times.

The answer is:
There are controls for this, overall on wxCode.

From wxWidgets documentation:
Your code corresponds to

Code: Select all

wxString(const wxChar* psz, size_t nLength = wxSTRING_MAXLEN)
// or
wxString(const unsigned char* psz, size_t nLength = wxSTRING_MAXLEN)
Therefore, it must be correct.

I haven't used wxWidgets 2.8 so much. Maybe the hyperlink control bundled with the sources is the same as the one present on wxCode project.

You can update the hyperlink control sources as submit patches to wxWidgets (on sourceforge website).

1/ The "icoNew" parameter is a pointer on wxBitmap .... The "AddTool" function expects a "const wxBitmap&". 2/ The fourth parameter is also a "const wxBitmap&"... if you do not have one, use the "wxNullBitmap" constant. Try this call: tbrEdit->AddTool(0, wxT(""), *icoNew, wxNullBitmap, wxITEM_NORMAL...

Maybe you should try something like:

Code: Select all

list->Freeze();
//empty list;
list->Clear();
//fill list;
...
list->Thaw();
