It is just a sample of wxWidgets mixed with std c++ stuffs that a std c++ compiler can compile. - the IDE can be whatever you want, can also be a notepad, it is not related to the code. The important thing is just to use the right...

Hi mmvpgs, if you make wxFormBuilder to generate the cpp code, it will regenerate the code at every change on the interface and you would have to paste on it everytime back your code. This clearly will make you lose a lot of time. I use from years wxFormBuilder, i would suggest to use a more profess...

Hello reipince, seems the program compile, but you are missing some static (.a) library on the final linking. Probably, they just are in a different path or are missing. grep for all these: lwx_baseu-2.6 -lwx_baseu_net-2.6 -lwx_baseu_xml-2.6 -lwx_gtk2u_adv-2.6 -lwx_gtk2u_core-2.6 -lwx_gtk2u_html-2.6...

hello Hossein, wxWidgets library is written in c++, using classes (objects), and there are infinite samples on how to use it on the wxWidgets/samples directory of the downloaded package. I try to do some clarification, someone will correct my assumptions probably. If you use a quite std c++ compiler...

Hello ONeill, this is a well known problem. You cannot update any part of the GUI from a thread. I personally use a custom (non wx) global Queue class to post event to the main interface, i read the queue from the wxFrame::OnIdle(). Otherwise, there is some wxWidgets support for this: http://wiki.wx...

Hi BuschnicK,

i never had a problem of collision between program id's and XRCID generated from names.

Just decide an id range for the program objects, let's say from 1000 and will be ok.

Hehe,

now i see, you are looking for a schematic/pcb editor.
This forum is not the right place since is software related.

Anyway, since i developed some hardware also, search for "Eagle", is free and unlimited for little boards.

button down, button up events

Hi all, i have read about some ways to do this, but i am lookig for the simpliest (less code as possible) one. * I don't like to create a class that inherit from wxButton for handle events. * I try connect, but then, parent object cannot be accessed from the button event handler. * I try button->Pus...
