if you want a dll ( = shared ) use mingw32-make -f makefile.gcc BUILD=release MONOLITHIC=1 UNICODE=0 SHARED= 1 VENDOR=wx263 this will produce an ANSI release build with import lib and dll of the names WXDIR\lib\gcc_dll\libwxmsw26.a WXDIR\lib\gcc_dll\wxmsw26_gcc_wx263.dll the vendor isn't necessary t...

doublemax wrote:also, you could just disable this specific warning

Code: Select all

#pragma warning (disable : 4244)
or change the line in longlong.h

Code: Select all

double ToDouble() const { return (double)m_ll; }
to get rid of the warning
but it find it interesting, why he DOES get the warning, that's not normal i guess.

yes, that's what i would expect,
you have an ansi-build (means it uses ansi library functions i.e. MessagBoxA instead of MessageBoxW) with standard usage of w_char type.
is that correct ?

looks like you have enabled 64bit support Huh??? :-s I am using a 32-bit platform, so I have no idea what you mean by "enabled 64bit support"... i meant the other way round, in your compiler settings :) newer compilers have special support for 64bit , if you enable these features, maybe any macro g...

It works perfectly (supporting Unicode and ANSI) !
maybe i'm wrong, but if you do that i would expect that you have built an ANSI build :)

The sample was what got me started =) The problem is that it links the generic dialogs directly, something that works well for a sample that lives within the same source tree, but seems kind of hacky for your own apps whose source is usually located somewhere else... what bars you to copy the neces...
