I considered 2MB huge because I'm used to MFC and the size of the generated file in th release mode is 20KB for the same result as wxWidget.

But the link you mentionned explains the reasons thank you.

How to reduce the generated application size ?

I'm using mingw32. After building the exe file size is very important I don't know why ? And I don't how to reduce-it ? I've compiled wxWidgets in DLL UNICODE RELEASE. But the size of my program is always huge. 2MB for a tiny result (only a window with a menu bar) !!! I've compiled my project using ...

Perhaps it's a bug in the Linux compil of wxWidgets. I'm using wxWidgets under windows and for now everything is Ok.

Everything seems to be ok with your code. Normally the entries won't be sorted unless you're using wxCB_SORT style.

The problem is somewhere else in your code.

Yes, you've understood my needs how to implement it using the wxWidget Library ?

Sigslot seems to be an alternative to wxWidgets events mechanism, I guess.
