Re: Minimal Sample in Codeblocks on Win10

I used the instructions from CB to build both wxWidgets from source and CB from SVN source. I used the makefile.gcc. I am using both VS2017 Community and BuildTools, which are both free from MS. CB has a wiki page that gives instructions about updating the VC compiler (It refers to the VC 2003 Tool...

Re: Minimal Sample in Codeblocks on Win10

How did you build wxWidgets? Using make or using visual studio project? I will try to build the wxWidgets 3.1.1 minimal sample using visual studio under Code::Blocks. The hope is the confirm the problem is in wxWidgets, Code::Blocks, or MS Visual Compiler. Edit: Community 2015 is the visual studio I...

Re: Minimal Sample in Codeblocks on Win10

Add the path to the DLLs to the library search list; and, code::blocks will add the library search list to the path while you are running the program inside of code::blocks. Edit: If you still have problems then look at the build log and maybe post it here if you do not see the problem. http://wiki....

Note: When you change the value of "MONOLITHIC" I have had to delete the files because make clean has always failed for me.

Re: library problem

Are you positive you built the wx Library as 64 bit; I say this since you are trying to build the application as 64 bit.

Re: library problem

Code: Select all

<Add option="-mwindows --verbose" />
Not related to your error; but, it is best to do the linker options one per line in the C::B Gui.

Since, I do not believe Mingw Version 9.4.2 exists, I will guess the answer is no!

You need to understand "environment variables" is a Operating System (OS) piece of knowledge; you would not normally learn it in an C++ Class!!

Re: library problem

Well, I must have screwed something up so I am rebuilding wxWidgets 3.0.4 using MingW. I have had to cast numerous strings to LPCSTRs. While I might accept that this is a minor problem, I have now encountered a superbly bit of poor programming and I cannot figure out what the following line of code...

Re: compiling wxpdfdocument on linux

The include should be

Code: Select all

#include "wx/pdfdocument.h"
And, you add the header search path of "/usr/local/include".
No idea if this is causing the problem.

Edit: And, remember to add the wxWidgets libraries needed by wxpdfdocument

Re: Latest Version of setup.h?

Hello, Don't know if it's always the case, but I see this kind of error when using CodeLIte here: https://forums.codelite.org/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=3186. It's a thread from 2015, but it talks about fixed naming convention for wxWidgets-libs path (eg. gcc481TDM_dll instead of just gcc_dll); and a way...

From: http://build-gdc.readthedocs.io/en/late ... %20Basics/

I would guess instead of host you are supposed to use target; but, this is a guess on my part.

I think the first thing you have to figure out what "Compiler type" you are trying to use.

I am guessing "cross-native".

Some countries use "," instead "." as the decimal point.
