Re: wxWidgets SVN (3.00) MinGW64 gcc version 4.8.1 - MSYS-1.

I don't use MingW, so i can only make a few remarks based on what I've read over time: GCC version 4.7.2 and later made some changes in the windows header files that break wxWidgets compilation. (This is only based on other people's problem i've read about, so i'm not sure about this). tdm64-gcc-4....

Re: CodeBlocks compile of new project fails

I posted a followup on the CB Thread. http://forums.codeblocks.org/index.php/ ... 331.0.html
Do NOT include both the static and dynamic wxWidgets folders!

Code: Select all

-LD:\C++\wxBook\wxWidgets-2.9.5\lib\gcc_lib
-LD:\C++\wxBook\wxWidgets-2.9.5\lib\gcc_dll

Re: Compiling wxWidgets with Mingw and CodeBlocks

FYI:

I have never successfully tried to build both MONOLITHIC=1 and MONOLITHIC=0 in the same build folder.
It has always failed to work for me; the few times I tried it. Note: If not specified MONOLITHIC is set to zero.

Re: Moving a project to Windows 7

Make sure you never use the header windows.h in your code.

For the reason why read the technotes in wxWidgets.

docs/tech/tn0019.txt

You can replace the include of "windows.h" with "wx/msw/wrapwin.h"

The symbols are defined in "pbt.h" and "winuser.h" headers on my MinGW GCC installation.

Re: FAQ for IDE related issues v2

I normally use three lines to build wxWidgets using MinGW GCC The first changes the system path so my compiler is at the start The second changes the current directory to be build/msw The third does the make command. What I guess you need to use. SET PATH=C:\Program Files (x86)\CodeBlocks\MinGW\bin;...

Re: Errors when compiling wxWidgets sample program Minimal

I am thinking that catalin wishes to know how you got your wxWidgets libraries?
Self Compiled or Download?

Next Question if Self Compiled wxWidgets libraries?
What method was used?
What options used in the method?

Re: Problems Compiling On Windows with MinGW

FYI: No idea about your current error; but if after you fix it you get "out of memory type errors on linking" I would suggest not using this option "--enable-monolithic". Some version of MinGW with 2.9 builds have the out of memory on linking issue. The fixes are to change MinGW GCC, major edits of ...

Re: Code Blocks a matching debug configuration cannot be fou

The error is a internal Code::Blocks message. The user failed to build an debug version of wxWidgets and then told Code::Blocks to use the debug version of wxWidgets. Code::Blocks then complains it can NOT find the debug version of wxWidgets. The answer is either one of below options 1. DO NOT pick ...

Re: DMC (Digital Mars C Compiler) and wxWidgets - no make.dm

You can create your own dmc makefiles by following the bakefile creation steps. I did it myself about 2+ years ago to test certain things. I do suggest asking them to make the build files in the users newsgroup for the 2.9.3 release. Tim S. From build/bakefiles/Bakefiles.bkgen <!-- Formats listed he...

All that I know is on this page that I read.

Does ARM have GTK or X11 support?
If not, then it is way past what I know.

Try adding the library wxscintillad.lib before all other wxWidgets Libraries. The link order matters with 90% of compilers; I am guessing on your compiler that this is the right order. Edit: I am guessing that the order you listed the libraries matches the order in your compiler. If you post the lin...

read which setup.h here
http://wiki.codeblocks.org/index.php?ti ... or_Windows

The main one that needs changed before building is
"<WXWIN>\lib\gcc_dll\mswu\wx\setup.h"
or
"include\wx\msw\setup.h"

See last Note on page.
