wxWidgets-3.1.2 build on osx 10.14.3 configure error

OSX 10.14.3 XCode 10.1 (10B61) wxWidgets-3.1.2 using /Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX.sdk (the shortcut MacOsx10.14.sdk in the same folder points to the same MacOSX.sdk) configure --with-osx_cocoa --disable-debug --enable-unicode --disable-universal --disable-monolithic --enable-gui -...

Re: Compiling wxWidgets 3.1.2 on macOS Mojave

Typing ../configure --version gives: wxWidgets configure 3.1.3 Generated by GNU Autoconf 2.69 I retried ../configure --disable-share --enable-stl --with-cxx=14 this gave no problems. adding '--with-macos-sdk=/Library/Developer/CommandLineTools/SDKs/MacOSX10.14.sdk' gave configure: error: invalid var...

Re: Compiling wxWidgets 3.1.2 on macOS Mojave

@jbattle
Copied and pasted the script on my mac mini Mojave, and configure is unhappy:

'configure: error: unrecognized options: --with-macos-sdk'

I wonder what makes it work on your mac mini.

Re: Make problem with latest trunk on OSX 10,14,2

To remove uncertainty, I cloned a new trunk.
../configurre
make

The library is built.

There probably was a problem with updating the trunk,

Re: scrollbars settings in wxScroll

For a 12-column table the noUnitsX parameter should be 11.

scrollbars settings in wxScroll

Using the trunk, on Windows 10 & Visual Studio 2017 Community edition. On the basis of the scrolled example, the following code allows to create the scrolled window for my application. The essence of the resulting window is shown in the (vertically reduced) image: http://www.pixname.com/000%20temp/2...

Re: wxMenuBar position

A wxMenuItem cannot be removed/inserted. These functions only work for wxMenu. wxMenuBar::FindMenu() gives the index of the wxMenu. This index is the 'pos" variable used in wxMenuBar::Remove(). The solution to my problem consists of transforming the wxMenuItem into a wxMenu, which can be Removed/Ins...

wxMenuBar position

wxMenuBar::Remove() takes as an argument size_t pos.

I have not found a function which gives 'pos' for a menu item.

Any clues?

Re: Printing issues

Nice idea to check, but printer resolution is the same in both cases. The problem ie present with both the real printer and the PDF printer. If a system parameter must be adjusted, I have no idea what to look for and where. The problem goes away if pixel width & pixel height of the page are divided ...

Printing issues

Using my application, (based on the Trunk) I printed a document on Windows 10 and on OSX Mojave, using the same code and the same printer (Canon Pixma MG5750). The pdf renditions correspond pretty well to the paper printouts. On Windows, the document is exactly as I expected it to be: http://www.pix...

Re: wxDateTime Setting month fails

Problem gone when SetMonth() is replaced by Set() as follows:

Code: Select all

calendarToday.Set(1, wxDateTime::Month(calendarToday.GetMonth() - 1), calendarToday.GetYear());

wxDateTime Setting month fails

The code below is supposed to set the embedded_Calendar one month back from the current month. It works for January (setting to December of the previous year), but the SetMonth statement raises an "invalid broken down date/time" error message. GetMonth() gives the correct month : 9 for 2018-10-31. I...

Hiding a radio button

What needs to be done to hide a radio button? wxRadioButton remains visible when rb->Hide() (or ->Show(false)) are executed.
