Re: ____longjmp_chk () in Ubuntu 18.04

Hi, The code I posted is from the webview sample, not from the webkit. I have inserted my application code inside the webview sample, and it works under Linux/gtk as expected. The sample is a top-level display. In my application, the code is in a frame two levels below the main frame. The 'if' state...

Re: ____longjmp_chk () in Ubuntu 18.04

Hi, The problem is present in Mint, but Mint is based on Ubuntu... Rpm-based distributions require some learning before a working system becomes available. I did find a key information in the sample: /** * Callback invoked when a page is finished loading */ void WebFrame::OnDocumentLoaded(wxWebViewE...

Re: ____longjmp_chk () in Ubuntu 18.04

Hi, I found a problem within gtk/webview_webkit.cpp: Function wxgtk_webview_webkit_load_status(...) processes status WEBKIT_LOAD_FINISHED and status WEBKIT_LOAD_COMMITTED, but no other status. The debugging shows that status WEBKIT_LOAD_FIRST_VISUALLY_NON_EMPTY_LAYOUT was received by this function, ...

Re: ____longjmp_chk () in Ubuntu 18.04

Hi,
Searching the installed packages discovers 49 items including 'webkit' in their names. So much for clarity.

Maybe the sample will make things clearer.

Thanks.

Re: ____longjmp_chk () in Ubuntu 18.04

Your remark is very pertinent. My application generates the url 'https://www.boursier.com/actions/cours/bnp-paribas-FR0000131104,FR.html' which the application processes as expected in Windows and Osx executing exactly the same application code. In Linux the same code fails; the backend is evidently...

Re: ____longjmp_chk () in Ubuntu 18.04

Thanks for keeping up. I moved to gtk+3 (hoping that this would have a positive effect) but the problem remains. I then simplified the communication between the calling and the called routines but the problem still remains. It looks like the problem occurs after the url is loaded in the browser, sin...

Re: ____longjmp_chk () in Ubuntu 18.04

Poking deeper with th debugger, the following seems to be alarming:

0x00007ffff5b2fd03 in ?? () from /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libglib-2.0.so.0
(gdb) n
Cannot find bounds of current function

I am nor sure what that means but is seems like a corrupt lib.

Re: ____longjmp_chk () in Ubuntu 18.04

I may have come upon something: First an explanation: I want to get information from a website without subscribing to a service. I use a browser with the appropriate url to get the page containing the data I need. This is an asynchronous process. I defined a class GetShareQuote where a browser is cr...

Re: Mageia 7.1 and GTK

Thanks, that worked as expected. I also need a webkit for wxWebView, but configure does not find webkit-1.0 and neither do I. Again, the software center is not helpful. Mageia forum indicated the following: lib64webkit2gtk-gir4.0 lib64webkit2gtk4.0_37 webkit2-plugin-process-gtk2 and added that they ...

Mageia 7.1 and GTK

I have no experience in rpm-based Linux, but would like to set up Mageia 7.1 with GTK in order to investigate a bug in my application which comes up in Debian-based Linux distributions (Ubuntu & Mint), apparently in the base unix software. The bug is not produced in Windows or OSX versions of the ap...

Re: ____longjmp_chk () in Ubuntu 18.04

Sorry for being long to reply. I was trying to see whether the problem was present in other Linux distros and that is quite time-consuming: setting up a proper environment for OpenMandriva, Mageia or Fedora is far from trivial, and indeed I did not succeed as yet. The problem is identical under Mint...
