Okay at this point it appears obvious to me that you do not master the basics of C++. Before trying to make such a big graphical app that will all confuse you, i highly suggest that you spend some time writing some test programs on the command-line, with no interface, just to get used to how classes...

(For a complete answer could you provide a minimal working sample? That's almost always the best way to get a quick and complete answer)

Also the error mentions two lcoations:

You will need to transfer Name from a class, or let it be accessed - the best way to do it depends a lot on the type of code you make. If MyFrame3 is the class that calls User/whatever, you could just pass Name as a method argument. Otherwise you can make MyFrame3 and Use/whatever know each other by...

Eg Form AddUser.cc with txtbox txt_box_1->GetValue()
Err well you explained yourself how to proceed!

Please be more precise on what you don' t know how to do, since you've just explained how it works.

Re: Application is crashing on Windows XP Home

Now, if I move the build directory (c:\BolsoShopSystem\build) to c:\build, it works fine too. After renaming it to c:\test the application crashes. After I rename the directory to c:\u, it works fine. So, in some directories it works, in the others it doesn't. Hi, what is this crash exactly? 'Crash...

Can you test it in 2.8? If you file a bug report for and old version, it may not be considered as much as if it is confirmed to happen in the latest.

Also, can you post the code that makes it crash? (or does it always crash)

How do I use static linking? when configuring, pass the disable-shared switch ../configure --disable-shared well that's how i did it on wxMac and wxGTK - if you're on windows and you did not use configure maybe refer to the wikis. @flyingisfun: Actually i don't think static linking is so much bigge...

Auria, wouldn't changing its directory as I said still give you the error message despite the dll being in the system directories? If an app called /foo/bar needs lib /usr/lib/wx-gtk.so, /foo2/bar would still find a lib at /usr/lib/wx-gtk.so. @demize: if you're distributing a single app, you should...

The fastest way to find out whether or not wxWidgets will require you to add anything else to your distribution is to run the program in a different directory. If it gives you a message box saying that you need some sort of dll, then you will need to include that file with your program. FlyingIsFun...

That depends how you built it - you need to understand how libs work and what you have built.

I recommend you read about static libs / dlls.

On my mac, when i build and link static, there's nothing more to include along the program.

I still think you should dosomething to know wich i and j indexes are saved, and what they contain.
Should that be

layers[j]
instead of

What gets printed if you do that: for (int i = 0; i < 6; i++) { for (int j = 0; j < numLayers; j++) { fprintf(OurFile, "%s\n", (const char *)layers[j] ); printf("%s\n", (const char *)layers[j] ); // <--------- } } Just to determine if problem is during saving or because saving is not called Nothing...
