I created a child wxWindow, and now I receive the EVT_LEFT_UP and EVT_RIGHT_UP events. But on the parent window, I have to do as explained in the first post. Do you use a child window ? (or wxGLCanvas) Now i do it on a wxGLCanvas, but iirc i've already done it on wxFrames too once i got a similar e...

Okay after trying a lot of things i finally got a fix! As information if someone has a similar problem: Appenrently wxBitmap does not like to be created on the heap, or from a wxImage, i don't know which one since i changed both. For the OpenGL textures, i moved the texture laoding code to the rende...

Sorry but i don't have VC++ (i'm on mac) and GCC really doesn't like your code, it produces tens and tens of errors :? So i can't really test it unless you make a more minimal sample - but maybe someone with VC++ can test it

I have a feeling it has something to do with how I've done it, this is all happening inside the event handler for text change on the control that is getting it's text changed by the append call, I was actually a bit suprized I didn't get an infinite recursion when I first started writing this block...

std::string s(script,0,i); script_editor->AppendText(wxString( (char*)s.c_str() )); that and script_editor->AppendText(wxString( (char*)std::string(script,0,i).c_str())); that still triggers the assert. it does it with everything, from just a space to "hello world" the thing is everything seems to ...

So I tried playing with the sizers more, and I think I've almost got it the way I like it. Inside wxFormBuilder when I preview the frame through the XRC Window, it all looks fine and the controls resize as they should when I resize the frame. Now, when I compile and run it, only the frame resizes. ...

glDrawPixels is able to handle RGBA data using the GL_RGBA flag. Create a custom array for RGBA data and fill it using wxImage::GetData and wxImage::GetAlpha. ok cool! i even got it working with transparency... it's already done ;) what i'm still wondering is why the same bytes work in drawPixels b...

I modified your code to use glDrawPixels and wxImage. The bitmap is the following. It works but there is a problem with transparency. In my code I also use glDrawPixels but transparency is not important for me. I change the transparent color in the bitmap to the OpenGL canvas background color. http...

Converted like that? std::string s(script,0,i); wxString( (char*)s.c_str() ); wxString( std::string(...) ) is just the same, a static cast (unless wxString has std::string capabiliies i don't know of) Otherwise what's the text you,re trying to Append... does it always do it? what happens if you just...

Here is a bitmap of your code on Windows http://img408.imageshack.us/img408/7496/sampleoj7.th.png lol impossible to get something to run the same on all platforms ;) well at lleast it seems like wxBitmapButton on wxGTK is a bug (unless both wxMac and wxMSV are wrong, of course ;) ) thanks for testi...

The loaded wxImage is most probably okay. Thre is no error, I am able to get its width, its height. I even wrote some code that would access the pixel colors and print the image on the console as ASCII art - so i can almost swear the image is loaded okay into memory. Furthermore the wxWidget samples...

Problem porting from wxmac to wxGTK

I'm trying to port an app from wxMac to wxGTK. (2.8.0) I've run into 2 problems i just can't seem to make sense of. 1. wxBitmapButtons are empty (But in the wx samples they are not) (i know the image i use is okay because the wx samples are able to read it) 2. OpenGL textures don't show in my wxGLCa...
