Re: Disabled toolbar items hidden under OSX

Hi. I'm back with my problem. I found what was causing this, but I really don't know why. So, the problem is caused by the i18n system. My wxApp derived class has a wxLocale object witch I initialize with the "default" system language. Here is the code I use : bool MyApp::OnInit() { ........ wxStrin...

Re: Helloworld MinGW32 GCC Compiler Errors

Hi.

The sample code is up to date : I've just copied/pasted the whole code in a simple wxWidgets project, and it works fine (see attached screenshot).

What are the problems you're seeing ?

Re: Disabled toolbar items hidden under OSX

Hi xaviou, Can you copy the png files to the toolbar sample folder and re-compile/re-run the sample? Will it still behave properly? Thank you. Tested, and it works correctly (I replaced the "cut" tool as it is disabled by default). Tested with both the real png file and the embedded png datas (an ar...

Re: Need a workaroud - Sizer Init Problem

Hi.

I don"t know if it will help, but I remeber that some times, you need to call "SendSizeEvent" on the wxFrame to have a "fake but usefull" resize event emitted.

Otherwise, i'm out of ideas.
Yes it does : I tryed putting the "EnableTool" just after the "AddTool" call and the result is the same.

Re: Disabled toolbar items hidden under OSX

Hi Try using the second overload for AddTool() that takes an additional bitmap for the disabled state. You can pass wxNullBitmap there, that's what the sample does. I've tested this overloiad with a valid bitmap, and with wxNullBitmap but it doesn't change anything. How do you disable the tool, usin...

Disabled toolbar items hidden under OSX

Hi. When trying to build an application on OSX, I have problems with disabled toolbat items : they are all hidden. I'm creating the toolbar in a "classic" way, from the constructor of my wxFrame derived class : wxToolBar* tb=CreateToolBar(wxTB_FLAT); tb->AddTool(wxID_OPEN, wxGetStockLabel(wxID_OPEN)...

Re: Codeblocks Windows 10/64 bit

Hi.

I think there is a conflict between 2 versions of MinGW :
  • the one installed with Code::Blocks
  • another one perhaps provided with Qt or something like this

Re: Cannot Load the following XML file

Hi.

The problem comes from the space in the name of the first node.

You should replace

Code: Select all

<Tool groups>
......
</Tool groups>
with something like

Code: Select all

<Tool_groups>
......
</Tool_groups>

Re: How to find an executable(exe) to open a file in LINUX using wxWidgets function ?

Hi

If you just need to open a pdf file, and don't care about the used executable, you can use wxLaunchDefaultApplication.

It worked for me under Linux and OSX..

Re: Build problem, possible bug in makefile..

Hi.

If you want to use parallels built, you'll first have to call the makefile with the "setup_h" built target.
For example :

Code: Select all

mingw32-make.exe -f makefile.gcc setup_h ......
mingw32-make.exe -j8 -f makefile.gcc ......
Both the 2 lines must have the same build parameters.

Re: Trying to find a File Explorer native to the windows operating system

Just for precision : wxGenericFileDialog isn't available in a shared build of wxWidgets (nor 3.0.2 neither 3.1.0) but only in a static build.

Re: Error while compiling wxWidgets

Hi 1. build\msw\mswud: Contains several files with .d and .o suffixes. These are temporary build files : once your build is finished, you don't need this folder anymore 2. lib\gcc_lib: contains several files with .a suffixes These are the result of your build. I'm not sure if any other file types ar...

Re: Own, transparent wxFrame background

Hi Too bad that wxWidgets wouldn't be an ideal library for this, I really liked to code with it as the documentation was very nice and clear. I think that wxWidgets can do what you want. What tierra said is that your window can have a custom shape (the one defined by your image file for example), bu...
