You might want to change your mingw path to all lowercase from: c:/MinGW /MinGW to: c:/MinGW /mingw In msys there is /etc/profile You may have to add /mingw/bin to the path line. This is what it looks like in my profile: if [ $MSYSTEM == MINGW32 ]; then export PATH=".:/usr/local/bin:/mingw/bin:/bin:...

I have done a lot of testing on this. Your header(.h) does not have to be in the same directory as your precompiled header(.gch). But, the precompiled header must be found first.

Whenever I see vtable errors it ends up being because my headers/libraries are not in sync. So my include paths are pointing to 2.5.2 and my lib directory is pointing to 2.6.0 for example.

You can add them to your application class. Then in a form or class where you need access just add:

Code: Select all

#include "app.h"
and you can use

Code: Select all

wxGetApp().myvar
to access it.

If you want to get rid of this error just remove the all GCC includes(-I"C:/Dev-Cpp/include/c++/3.3.1/mingw32") from your build line.

You probably need to install gtk devel rpms. Check to see if you have any gtk devels installed:

rpm -aq | grep gtk

You are looking for gtk+-XXXXXX

If it is there then do a find command:

find / -name gtk

to see where gtk files are. They may be in /usr/lib or /usr/lib gtk.

IIRC I also have to check stream->LastRead() as well. It returns the last number read. If it is zero then nothing was read. My memory is a little foggy here you will have to confirm with the docs, but Im pretty sure that helped me with different stream classes.

I use wxUrl in a wxThreadHelperClass. This works very well for my needs.

Theres fairly complete instructions in the INSTALL document. Basically you do the typical:

./configure
make
make install

You can also run ./configure --help to get a list of commands you can pass it. Like static/dynamic library, gtk1/gtk2 etc.
