Re: wxThread and main gui

Solved using a boolean value and a while - sleep cycle.
It isn't a nice solution.
Better maybe use wxMutexGuiEnter wxMutexGuiLeave but these functions only permit to manage the already existing components but not to show a dialog.

Re: wxThread and main gui

Is not exactly what I need.
In the Entry() function I need to call a function "ShowPopup()" of the gui.
In Delphi - Freepascal I can call a gui function in this mode: "Synchronize(ShowPopup)"
How can I do this in wxWidgets?

wxThread and main gui

In order to show a popup from a wxThread object I use wxThreadEvent. See the code: wxThreadEvent event(wxEVT_THREAD, wxEVT_WXTHREAD_INIT_SENDMESSAGE); event.SetInt(wxICON_ERROR); event.SetString(Message); wxQueueEvent(parent, event.Clone()); The code works. When the event will fired, I show a popup....

wxSplashScreen OnClick

Hi. I have an wxSplashScreen created in this mode: SplashScreen= new wxSplashScreen(Image, wxSPLASH_CENTRE_ON_SCREEN | wxSPLASH_NO_TIMEOUT, 0, NULL, -1, wxDefaultPosition, wxDefaultSize, wxBORDER_SIMPLE | wxSTAY_ON_TOP); When I click on it, the window disappears and destroys. Is there a way to hide ...

Re: wxWidgets, slow to start

I'm really becoming mad! See below my libraries order. Now the compilation ends correctly but the program goes to crash at startup with a generic error on crtdll.dll modname. Have you got any idea? C:\wxWidgets-3.0.2\lib\gcc_lib\libwxmsw30u_adv.a C:\wxWidgets-3.0.2\lib\gcc_lib\libwxmsw30u_aui.a; C:\...

Re: wxWidgets, slow to start

Normally I use MinGW, Codeblocks, wxFormBuilder. Ok. I have built wxWidgets using this line: mingw32-make -f makefile.gcc SHARED=0 UNICODE=1 BUILD=release If you create a new wxWidgets project using Codeblocks all works well. The program start immediately. Now please, add a wxGrid in the main form. ...

Re: wxWidgets, slow to start

Now an empty program starts immediately but, if you create a program with the wxGrid object is impossible to link it.
Are you sure that wxWidgets supports not shared mode as shared mode?

I have built the latest wxwidgets using these command rows: mingw32-make -f makefile.gcc SHARED=1 UNICODE=1 BUILD=release clean mingw32-make -f makefile.gcc SHARED=1 UNICODE=1 BUILD=release but the executable is very slow to start and wants the wxWidgets dlls.
