Undefined reference : don't get it

I am trying to compile my project with wxWidgets 2.6.2 (winXp/Codeblocks/mingw). Before I was using a monolithic lib but and it compiled fine but when I try not to use a monolithic it fails : mingw32-g++.exe -LD:\Logiciels\wxWidgets-2.6.2\lib\gcc_lib -L.\wxIFM\lib\gcc_lib -LD:\Logiciels\CodeBlocks\l...

wxTreeCtrl : find a way to know which groups my node belongs

Hi, I would like to know what are the techniques to know if a node of my tree belongs to a "group". When I add a node I use AppendItem how can I associate a wxTreeId with a group (for instance folders or files or zipped files ...)? Should I everytime that I create a node, save its wxTreeId in a list...

I've been compiling wxWidgets with gcc4 for like half a year now, so either it's something as the other repliers have thought, or we need quite some more information about the problem. Please note that latest gcc-4.1 snapshots don't compile (not a configure problem though) 2.6.2, and need a patch f...

there may be issues with some installed libs, and you have a link problem. check your wxwidgets dependencies. they may not be installed correctly. Did it work with another gcc version? What are the dependencies to compile wxWidgets ? It seems that autotools don't understand gcc 4, or something like...

GCC 4 and wxWidgets 2.6.2

Hi,

I cannot compile wxWidgets with Gcc 4, when I call ./configure it says that my compiler cannot create executables.
What's wrong ?

Re: Future docking lib based on wxIFM or not ?

These few weeks I am playing with wxIFM and I think it's the best candidate as a docking lib even if I am not totally convinced. In particular I don't know if it's a bug but I have an app with one Frame that is initialized with one docking bar on the left and one on the bottom. If I dynamically chan...

I created a wxGUID object that uses libuuid under linux and the standard GUID methods under windows with CoCreateGUID etc. It's nothing more but a wrapper though. Email me privately if you want to have a copy .. Regards, - Jorgen Finally I did it myself : /*static*/ wxString Utils::CreateGUID(int n...

maybe you could use a random integer (GUID or equivalent) and write it as a string (with some kind of itoa function) encoded in hexadecimal, or base64, ... IS there any base64 encoder in wxWidgets or any GUID generator? I think I have seen something like that in one project coded with wxWidgets but...

Events and wxTreeCtrl

Hi, I have a class deriving from wxTreeCtrl like this : class PrjTree : public wxTreeCtrl { ... }; and I would like to handle context menu. So I tried this in implementation file BEGIN_EVENT_TABLE(PrjTree, wxTreeCtrl) EVT_TREE_ITEM_RIGHT_CLICK(idPrjTree, PrjTree::OnItemRClick) EVT_MENU(idAddCardCmd,...

Ok thanks for this information. finally I have solved the problem by using wxNotebook instead of wxIFM tabs, ite means that you cannot undock some tabs but that's not a problem for now. I have another question regarding maximized size. How can I start an application maximized because I have tried to...

Actually it's worst than a bug it's a feature !! Let me explain : it seems that the problem is not related to the click delay but if you select a tab and you move it it undocks. First I was shocked but I have checked with Visual Studio and it's the same behaviour(I didn't know). But the BIG differen...

I have tested wxIFM-1.0.5 (latest version on windows XP and wxWidgets-2.6.2 and while it seems very professional it's really too sensitive. If you play with the sample app demo1.exe and if you click several times on tabs sometimes your window just undock. For now I will stick with wxDockit. Progress...

wxIFM added Codeblocks project and fix a small error

Hi, for people working with CodeBlocks/mingw I made a project to compile wxIFM and sample application. I have also added #include "wx/dcmemory.h" in definterface.cpp because I got a compiler error. For people interested in compiling wxIFM with CodeBlocks Save the file below as wxIFM.cbp and put it i...

Future docking lib based on wxIFM or not ?

Hi, I have started to develop an app using a docking bar interface. For that I have used wxdockit but before to go any further I would like to know if there will be a standard docking lib very soon in wxwidgets. I have heard of wxIFM, what is the status ? Will you start from it or will you rewrite s...
