Re: wxListBox::SetClientObject() problem

That's it! I should not simply exchange pointers. Instead I have to allocate and assign new allocated data that were copied from existing. struct Data : wxClientData { int test; }; m_myListBox->Clear(); m_myListBox->Append("Hello 1", new Data()); m_myListBox->Append("Hello 2", new Data()); Data* p1 ...

wxListBox::SetClientObject() problem

Hi all, I use wxWidgets-2.8.12 and want to fill a wxListBox with strings and client objects. The list box is defined as "unsorted". This code will generate an Access Violation at dynamic_cast and I do not know the reason why: struct Data : wxClientData { int test; }; m_myListBox->Clear(); m_myListBo...

Re: WxWidgets 2.9.3 VS 2010 Compiling problems

Hello all,
I had the same problem.
The solution was to remove the preprocessor setting "NOPCH", because I used precompiled headers.

Re: FAQ for IDE related issues v2

MSVC 2010 Professional, wxWidgets-2.9.4 sources downloaded from sourceforge libraries cannot be build The most interesting question is still open: How can this error "Cannot open include file: "wx/setup.h" be resolved? The tricks described above seem to be obsolete. After 2 hours of trial and error ...

Re: wxPopupTransientWindow with wxComboBox

It seems to be so. So I will re-design that small part of my software.
A note about focussing with wxPopupTransientWindow should be added to the help page.
Thanks a lot!

wxPopupTransientWindow with wxComboBox

Hello all, I loaded the project popup_vc9.sln from the wxWidgets-2.9.3/samples/popup folder. I compiled with VS 2010 Express Edition and all runs well. Now I want to add a combo box, but I cannot get it "alive", although event handlers are present. Below there is the code. As told before it is the o...

wxPropertyGrid, using more than 2 columns

I know it is possible to define the grid with more than 2 columns.
But how can I populate the additional columns with arbitrary wxPGProperty items?
The wxPropertyGrid::Append() and AppendIn() functions populate the 1st and 2nd columns only.

I've found that 1st name in rc file is always NOT recognized.
After hours of examination I found, that the rc file has some invisible extra bytes at the beginning: EF BB BF

Perhaps that means Unicode Format. After rewriting the rc file by hand with notepad it works. :)

I examined the source code of registry.cpp from wxWidgets distribution.
All ::RegOpenKeyEx() calls use parameter samDesired, that can be combined with KEY_WOW64_32KEY and KEY_WOW64_64KEY to access different registry sections.
I suggest to wx developpers to extend the class to support those flags.
