Re: OpenGL 4.0 in wxwidgets 3.0.4

Adding WX_GL_CORE_PROFILE to my attributes allows me to get OpenGL 4.1, so thanks Manolo.

ONEEYEMAN you said that I should pass to wx 3.1.1, but this version is not marked as stable yet.
So is wx 3.1.1 reliable?

OpenGL 4.0 in wxwidgets 3.0.4

Hi all, I'm trying to create an wxGLCanvas with openGL 4.0 openGL context in wxwidgets 3.0.4. I create the canvas with the following attributes: int attr[] = { WX_GL_MAJOR_VERSION, 4, WX_GL_MINOR_VERSION, 3, 0 }; but when I run the function: glGetString(GL_VERSION); it says that I'm using a 2.1 open...

Re: Compiling statically linked app with wxwidgets

thanks to all,

there was 2 different errors in my command, the first was to use -j4 without build setup_h first, the second was to use MONOLITHIC=1 I don't know why but with that option the library don't compile on my system.

Re: Compiling statically linked app with wxwidgets

The compilation seems to be completed without errors... but in the lib/gcc_lib I've only theese files: libwxexpat.a libwxjpeg.a libwxpng.a libwxregexu.a libwxscintilla.a libwxtiff.a libwxzlib.a and a directory mswu with: mswu │ libwxexpat.a │ libwxjpeg.a │ libwxpng.a │ libwxregexu.a │ libwxscintilla...

Compiling statically linked app with wxwidgets

Hi all, I'm trying to compile an application statically in windows 10, I've already compiled wxWidgets 3.0.4 with the command: mingw32-make -j4 -f makefile.gcc SHARED=0 UNICODE=1 MONOLITHIC=1 RUNTIME_LIBS=static BUILD=release VENDOR=custom SHELL=CMD.exe The problem is that now when I compile my appl...

Custom event problem

Hi all, I have a class that inherits from wxPanel (MyPanel) that should send a Custom event with the class MyEvent: hpp: class MyPanel : public wxPanel { MyCtrl *ctrl; public: MyPanel( wxWindow *parent, wxWindowID winId = wxID_ANY, const wxPoint &pos = wxDefaultPosition, const wxSize &size = wxDefau...

Re: showing event of child control from parent

I did, it is very complex but I think I found the way.. Can you tell me if I'm wrong at some point? 1) I should create an event class (that inherits from wxEvent); 2) I should decleare the event with: wxDEFINE_EVENT(MY_EVT, MyEvtClass); 3) in my todo section I should create the event and fire it usi...

showing event of child control from parent

Hi all, I have a custom control class, that is derived from wxControl and that is composed by some other standard control (I can't post the original code becouse it is too long and complex so, I will write an example): ... class MyControl : public wxControl { wxTextCtrl *text; wxButton *btn; public:...

FindWindow vs pointers

Hi all, I'm working on a class that extends the wxPanel class. Inside that panel I will have a lot of wx class, like wxStaticText, wxComboBox, etc.. I don't know wich is the best approach: Should I save a pointer foreach control in my panel or should I use the FindWindow method of the wxPanel to obt...

Bezier curve control

Hi all, I'm writing an application that needs to print a Bezier curve on a panel. That curves needs to be clickable, movable, etc. so I need it to be a "control", but wxControl has a rectangular shape and my curve, of course, cannot be wrapped in a rectangle. Is there a way to have a custom control ...
