PLUGIN_LIST_ID is the id you create your wxListCtrl with
LIST_BOX_ID is the id you use in your event table macro

these ids must be the same

does your internet connection require a proxy server? (-> wxURL::SetProxy)
If that's not it, i'm out of ideas.

did you assign an image list to your notebook? If not, try omitting the image id in the AddPage() call (the last parameter, '0')
The windows port doesn't crash when you do this, but maybe the GTK port behaves differently.

If that's not it, how about using a Debugger - quite helpful at times ;)

i tested the code and it works fine here. Maybe a personal firewall that prevents your program from accessing the internet?

you don't need wxHTTP for this, wxURL alone should be enough: wxURL url(wxT("http://www.google.com")); if(url.GetError()==wxURL_NOERR) { wxInputStream *in_stream = url.GetInputStream(); // Then, you can use all IO calls of in_stream (See wxStream) #define BUFSIZE 256 unsigned char buf[BUFSIZE]; do {...

The values are always absolute. If you're developing on MSW, the values you get are usually from 0 to 65535, with 32767 being the 0-position. To be on the safe side, you'll have to check the return values of wxJoystick::GetXMin(), wxJoystick::GetXMax() etc. Make sure to check the wxJoystickEvent::Is...

very strange. I just put a SetSize(...) and Maximize() call into my wxFrame ctor and it worked right away.

To which size does your frame restore when you unmaximize it?
Does it restore to the correct position?

Code: Select all

if (app_options.last_size is not set)
i assume this is pseudo code?

i just tested it with one of my applications and it works like you expected.

Is your MyFrame derived from wxFrame? When you store the frame size in the OnSize() handler, did you verify that you don't save the maximized size there?

1) The joystick sends an EVT_JOY_MOVE if the position has changed by more than 0 from last poll?
that's it.
Only implemented in the MSW port, the others ignore this value AFAIK.

what compiler are you using? I can just use:

Code: Select all

wxFFile my_file( wxT("C:\\temp\\test.txt") );
or

Code: Select all

wxString filename=wxT("C:\\temp\\test.txt");
wxFFile my_file(filename);
without any complicated constructs or casts.

from the browser's point of view it doesn't make any difference whether it's a static html page or a script-generated page like php or asp. I don't know what exactly causes this error message, but i can tell you that it's pointless to display this particular page with wxHtmlWindow anyway, because it...

i think you should use wxFileConfig for this, it'll make your life much easier. I'll put some pseudocode for one wxTextCtrl, i hope you'll get the idea: When creating the dialog: wxFileConfig *conf=new wxFileConfig(wxT("c:\\config.dat")); wxTextCtrl *address=new wxTextCtrl(...) address->SetValue( co...

From the documentation, too:
If the argument is wxNullBitmap (or some other uninitialised wxBitmap) the current bitmap is selected out of the device context, and the original bitmap restored, allowing the current bitmap to be destroyed safely

in order to use wxDisplay, your wxwidgets library must be built with wxUSE_DISPLAY=1, by default it's 0

check the "display" sample in the samples directory
