This make sense. Is it ISO-C++ ?
MinGW handled this without errors.

[zconf.h] Bytef

I try to compile my project with MS VC++ 2008 Express Edition IDE. Before that I was working with Code::Blocks and MinGW. I have wxWidgets from SVN. There is this piece of code in my project size_t bufsize = file.Length(); Bytef buffer[bufsize]; file.Read(&buffer, bufsize); But there are this errors...

[wxTreeCtrl] ToolTip on items

I have a wxTreeCtrl with different items in it.
On some items I want to display a tooltip if the mouse is over it.

How can I realize it? I need some inspiration for it because I found nothing about this in wxTreeCtrl.

I want to display that string in a wxStaticText. 前田 龍 (Ryuichi Maeda) I am writing it explicite to my sourcefile ... "前田 龍 (Ryuichi Maeda)" ... My Code::Blocks IDE give a correct warning and say it save the source file as UTF8 coded. Fine. But in the application there is no asian string. There is st...

[wxCopyFile] can not overwrite a hidden file

I am using wx from SVN on WinXPSP3 (32bit) with two NTFS partitions. I found out that it is not possible to copy one file (not writeprotected, not hidden) over another file with the same name (not writeprotected, but hidden) if it is hidden. I am using wxCopyFile(src, dest, true). Is this correct an...

[wxTopLevelWindow] "wxAssertFailure" in SetIcons()

After updating my few month old SVN I got this error while starting my application. Debug: ../../src/msw/toplevel.cpp(1017): assert "wxAssertFailure" failed in SetIcons(): icon bundle doesn't contain any suitable icon I didn't see my good old icon in the title bar of the toplevelwindow! I never call...

Thank you very much! :)

Isn't possible to develope an inteligent linker that can handle the order by itself!?

Using Format(XXX) is a god workaround.

I decided to use ParseISOCombined() and FormatISOCombined().

[undefined reference] deflate

I try to compile my project in release mode with wxWidgets from SVN, CodeBlocks as IDE, MinGW as compiler on WinXPSP3. There is a undefined reference to "deflat" and some others. I think this could be a missing wxzlib but it is in there. Here is the build-log. -------------- Build: Release Static in...

[possible BUG] wxDateTime

I am not sure if it is realy a bug in wxDateTime. This is the code wxString str = "10.04.2009 11:49:00"; wxDateTime dt = wxDateTime::Now(); dt.ParseDateTime(str); MyOutput ( wxString::Format ( "\nstr: %s\ndt : %s\nday: %d month: %d year: %d", str, dt.Format(), dt.GetDay(), dt.GetMonth(), dt.GetYear(...

[Win32] archiv-bit

I want to compare attributes of two files. But the archive-bit should be ignored. That is the code for it: bool BFCore::VerifyFileAttributes (wxFileName& fn1, wxFileName& fn2) { long lAttr1 = GetFileAttributes(fn1.GetFullPath()); long lAttr2 = GetFileAttributes(fn2.GetFullPath()); if (lAttr1 & FILE_...
