Honestly, you're right that you wont be able to change wxWidgets. Be "we" could. The problem I see and mentioned above, is that there would have to be a new developers corner. The things that should be changed (not adding new features) would have to be properly listed like in a bug tracker. A timel...

Hi, I never used crimson editor or VC++ Studio, so I can't give an opinion about those two. But I have used Eclipse and I use Code::Blocks now. Eclipse: Last time I used it (a year or two ago), it was very nice to use. Codecompletion was working well (I guess).. The only problem was that it was not ...

I think this is a good idea.

But if I understand you correctly, you are going to make a kind of SDK which the C::B plugin developer can use.

The making of wxSmith is not a desision that is made by the main developers, it is started by someone else. the development of Code::Blocks isn't suffer under the development of wxSmith. And for some people it is a problem that wxFormBuilder is a sepperate application and not a plugin which is integ...

One of the functions is to dock a window made by a plugin. but when I try to link wxDockit or wxIFM I get some linker errors. sdk/windowmanager.cpp:30: undefined re...

CodeBlocks is indeed still using 2.4.2, but this is going to be changed soon. The CVS version is already working with 2.6.1 (2.6.2 still gives some errors). Working with Visual toolkit is possible, but it is not tested very much. Most of the devs are working with mingw. After the release of version ...
