You do not seem to get the point, the IDE does not have to support unicode editing in source files, because the source files are always ansi encoded. http://stackoverflow.com/questions/442735/how-can-i-embed-unicode-string-constants-in-a-source-file It is not a good practice to use unicode chars str...

I'm newbie to WxWidgets, I like to know if there an IDE for it that accept Unicode (strings and editing) C++ code is always ANSI, you prepare a string for unicode with special macro's like wxT, _T or _ and choosing a wxWidgets build that supports unicode strings (always preferrable). So you do not ...

Hmmm no this is not the way to do it. You are talking about checking if "a" is deleted or not this way? _dummyFlag is still a member of this class, and when the pointer is deleted, it points to an abitrary piece of memory. VERY bad practice! What you should do instead is make a singleton container l...

I have been down the road of thorough designs a lot myself. Although it seems the right way to go, usually you only feel like you did a great job when the "paper to code" phase starts, after that, you realise you missed out on important things, or the design will not work the way it does. You can ei...

If you are absolutely sure your code is right, I can think of one thing our software (medical acquisition software) also was bothered with. Windows and semi-real time signal processing / generation has always been a problem. I am not sure if I get it right what your problem is, but if the signal pro...

Oh and one more thing,
I found one, MadEdit, but it need unicode, I couldn't compile it with my program
Why don't you just make your app unicode compliant. This is far more the easier route to take then making your own component. On the other hand, making components *is* fun ;-)

You can come a long way by using a wxGrid. Make 18 columns, one for the location, 16 for the bytes and one for the ascii representation. This is a quick hack, you have to be careful that you use some kind of virtual view if you load 2 Gb you cannot load the whole file, so you have to provide a windo...

Hi,

This is because googlebot slows down this forum a lot. Whenever googlebot passes it and indexes the pages, it starts to get sluggish and unresponsive. We have no real influence over the hardware of this forum, so we disabled it ..

Ok my bad ... If I see a keygen exe or posted serial and I cannot find an official download link, my illegal software senses start to tingle. So I am sorry that I removed the links, I was misinformed. As for developing wxDev-IDE in wxDev-Cpp is kind of funny. Be careful you do not create a singulari...

As something every C++ developer needs to know, when y you do this; void functionA() { SomeObject a; _pointerToObj = &a; } You will get in a 'heap' of trouble. Every object/string/char array/int etc you declare like this, will be on the STACK and the moment the function exits it will be gone. So if ...

Well nobody is stopping you from doing that. The problem is that it is sometimes very hard to do so. If the underlying GUI toolkit does not allow you to implement it, you will have to emulate it. If it is not easy to emulate, because methods are not available all there is left to emulate / mimic the...

Your equivalent function would be "FindWindow". For single controls it would be better to set a member variable so that you can always access it, if you have a lot of GUI components you want to put in an array, you can use wxWindow::FindWindow(). http://docs.wxwidgets.org/stable/wx_wxwindow.html#wxw...
