I did it with aptitude instead of apt-get, seem to be more "intelligent" because you can take some action in order to solve the problem..

Hi Auria,

well, I compile wxwidgets following the file install-gtk.txt.. basically

- create a dir for build
- ./configure --with-gtk --with-opengl
- make
- sudo make install
- lconfig (or any command like that..)

Hi DavidHart, I try that already, actually the header of application.h has always been with: #include <wx/wxprec.h> #include <wx/wx.h> #include <wx/xrc/xmlres.h> #include "wxWindows.h" #include "wxSplashScreen.h" #include "Resources.h" nevertheless I get the same error, thanks for any advice.... the program compile and run under windows, so I don't think that any header is missing.

#include "wx/wx.h" is inside of the application.h

did you compile xmlresources on linux???
if you already did it, will be greate to compare you code...

I found the problem.. and the solution.. the light must be initialized after at the first render process.... but isn't opengl a state machine?? my old version shoud work also wxwidgets 2.8.. so I am not realy sure what is going on with wx2.8

Hi, I have an opengl application that work fine with wxWidget 2.7.1.
