Re: wxBitmap Button Missing from WxWidgets 2.8.12

wxSmith.. Would it make a difference? I wasn't aware that there was another. I just started a new project in Code::Blocks and there's a choice to use wxSmith or wxFormBuilder. Can I choose either or do I have to have something like FormBuilder installed to do this. Nothing seems to be coming up when...

Re: wxListbox Style (Rounding Corners)?

aha. Well thats something I didn't know (about using code only to create controls). I've just been using the editor up until now. I thought the editor looked a bit limited in its range of controls. Just on that.. As I've only used widgets via the editor.. When a widget is created by code does it app...

Re: wxBitmap Button Missing from WxWidgets 2.8.12

No errors.. The issue I have is that in Code::Blocks at the bottom of the editor screen there is a row of widgets separated by different buttons. Those widgets don't contain the wxBitmap button (amongst the drag and drop items). The range seems small compared to what I believe I saw in the widgets l...

wxBitmap Button Missing from WxWidgets 2.8.12

Does anyone know why the wxBitmapButton might be missing from wxWidges 2.8.12? I've compiled this myself with a MingW compiler and am using it on Code::Blocks.

Could this be an error or is the Bitmap Button only available in a later version?

Thanks

Re: wxListbox Style (Rounding Corners)?

I've attached a bitmap of the type of thing I want. As you look at the two listboxes the one on the left has a listbox on this inside border with sharp edges (black border). I've surrounded it with a static border to make some curved edges. The other way I found to make the corners appear rounded is...

Re: wxListbox Style (Rounding Corners)?

Can you use third party widgets in wxWidgets which may enable you to do this?

wxListbox Style (Rounding Corners)?

Is it possible to round the corners of wxListbox? I can't seem to find a setting which allows this. If not would there be a plugin or extra widgets which can enable this kind of thing?

Thanks

Re: Forecolour - wxListbox

Disregard my last. It seems that there is a 'Custom' selector inside the color pad of the Foreground color menu item.
You can select any color you want there.

After overlooking it I just discovered it.

Forecolour - wxListbox

I seem to be limited on the colors I can use in the wxListbox. They're all limited to different shades of blue, greys and blacks.
Is there any way to change this and include reds and orange.? etc.

Thanks

Re: Changing wxButton Label with a Variable?

I just solved this myself. The tutorial is on the below link and is incredibly useful.. http://wiki.wxwidgets.org/Converting_everything_to_and_from_wxString Here's the solution.... And it works. void ListBox2Frame::OnButton3Click(wxCommandEvent& event) { wxString tests = wxString::Format(wxT("%i"),L...

Changing wxButton Label with a Variable?

I'm trying to change a wxButton Label with a variable but the button label only takes strings. I'm not sure why the below won't work? I specifically want to change the button label to an int as shown below. The tutorial below says that I should be able to return the int value to a wxString variable ...

Re: Adding String To a wxListBox??

AddItem was a desperate attempt to use something I couldn't find any info on. The .-> is a typo but wasn't in my code. Thanks doublemax,, thats handy to know (about the object tree). I read this but have initially overlooked it's necessity when looking for the various methods. I'm only new to wxWidg...

Adding String To a wxListBox??

How do you add a string to a wxListbox. I've tried several variations but keep getting an error and it won't compile. See below. Keep in mind this is in an Event Handler and I've added all my variations below. I'm finding it impossible to get anything to work by following the wxWidgets Class tree in...

Re: Bitmap Button - How to use?

Disregard my last.. It works.. Yes, it was my doing. I ended the file name 'picta' with '.bmp' in the directory. So I named it 'picta.bmp' and the file couldn't load. Silly me. Thanks for your help. For a problem so small this has taken up allot of time but I've learned something here. Thanks again,...

Re: Bitmap Button - How to use?

Thanks very much for that. I'm getting closer. I keep getting this error message before and after I added the code you provided. I don't suppose you know what this means. I can't seem to make any sense of it through a Google search. Provided the error message below. It's probably something I've forg...
