I've never done it, but I believe you can just do this:

Code: Select all

HDC hdc = GetHdcOf(dc);

Maybe have a look at this link. It doesn't use variables, but I think it does what you want.

I don't believe Outlook Express has a documented Object Model, so Excel-like automation is probably not possible.

It might help to track down the error if you test what the calls return. GetInstance and CreateInstance should return true or false. By the way, why are you calling both GetInstance and CreateInstance? GetInstance should be used when Excel is already running. If it's not, you should call CreateInsta...

It should look like one in player summary. With headers and footers if possible. Data should be sorted, too. I think sorting is a feature which is not available in a wxGrid...or am i wrong? Yes, I believe you would need to implement any sorting on your own. Can i change the color of the columnheade...

I don't believe you can do this:

Code: Select all

    double rhoArray[dx][dy];
    int thetaArray[dx][dy];

    int xArray[rhoMax];
    int yArray[rhoMax];
In C++. Perhaps you should read up on dynamic array allocation.

A bit more investigation ... GetTables only gets the named ranges in the Workbook.

Is there anyway to get the sheetnames without named ranges? I could do it with wxDB.

Using Databaselayer to get Excel Sheet names?

Can you use the ODBCDatabaselayer to get the sheetnames from an Excel spreadsheet? I tried with this code, but it gives me nothing from GetTables() wxFileDialog fdlog(this, "Open a file","","","*.xls"); if(fdlog.ShowModal() != wxID_OK) return; filename.Clear(); filename = fdlog.GetPath(); wxString s...

Get data from Excel spreadsheet with wxDB/wxDBTable?

Does anyone have an example of getting data from an Excel spreadsheet using wxDB and wxDBTable? I've been able to get the sheetnames and the field names from the sheet, but I can't get any data. SQL log shows an error: duplicates 1d0-87c ENTER SQLSetConnectOption HDBC 003C1830 SQLINTEGER 102 <SQL_AU...

I'm sure it's possible to do it, but you would need to modify the sources yourself. Currently it only draws circles.

I believe you will need to translate the position to logical coordinates using:

wxScrolledWindow::CalcUnscrolledPosition

before you can feed it to YtoRow function.

Silly question, but since you are getting the number of bytes read (dwBytesRead), why wouldn't you just check to see if dwBytesRead > 0?
