Pre-select items in a wxListBox?

Is there anyway to set the selection state of items in a wxListBox?

I want to use one to allow users to select items, but I'd like to pre-load the previously selected items.

Is there some limitation to wxVariant? I am trying to use it to set the background color for a whole bunch of cells (random). If I set the string to a single cell, it works fine ("D8"), but if I try to do a whole bunch at once ("D8,G12,F23, ....") it gives an error and doesn't set the background col...

How to set a wxVariant to a wxString

How can I set a wxVariant variable to the value of a wxString?

Is this possible? If not, is there some other way to construct a wxVariant?

Thanks

Not entirely sure what you want, but this might be useful to you.

Zoom a wxGrid?

Has anyone done this? I'd like to be able to zoom in and out on a wxGrid (like Excel can). Any hints on how to implement this? Or is it just impossible with the current wxGrid?

That did the trick. It didn't seem very clear from the manual which parent I should give for the panels that are used as pages.

Thanks!

I looked at the linked discussion, but didn't see anything useful. This wxNotebook is in my main application frame, not a dialog. Just for the heck of it, I tried using wxListbook and wxChoicebook instead of wxNotebook - both drew the grid correctly, but neither would let me interact with any of the...

wxGrid in a wxPanel in a wxNotebook?

Ok, I have a wxPanel that contains a wxGrid, among other things. If I put it directly in a wxFrame, everything looks fine, but if I try to use the Panel in a wxNotebook, the scroll bars for the grid don't draw correctly. They are still there and will draw the pieces as you click on them, though. Wha...

I had to open the file first and then add the line! Yes, that would help. ;) How can I add at the beggining of each line the number of it? Hmm. If the file is starts empty, and you only ever append lines, you can easily add the line-number to wxString line in code you already have. Otherwise: If th...

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, changing the files from .tar.Z to .tar.gz isn't an option as they are delivered from an offsite location that I don't have control over.

If I need to recompress them, I suppose I could just use .zip and use what is already in wxWidgets library.

Reading .tar.Z files without explicitly decompressing them?

Is there anyway to read these files from a wxWidgets app without having to decompress them first?

There seems to be such a thing for .zip files.
