Send Data to Printer

I currently have to print my data to a text file and send it to the printer using notepad.
I wish to be able to generate a report with text some formatting.
Anybody know of a simple tutorial on how to send data to the printer and also how to code the layout of a document.

Title Bar Update

I have a custom title bar similar to the picture below.
my application has around 50 fields. i would want the title to have an * when any of the fields are modified.

Is there an easy way of attaching a general if statement rather than adding it to each individual field.
