What storage container is there to store keys alphabetically

I am looking for something like a sorted array, but then one where the keys are sorted. I am currently using a hashmap. There I insert wxString's into as keys, and ULONGs as values. (wxStrings are sorted alphabetically). Then when I iterate over it, they are not sorted anymore... (maybe because of t...

Or if that doesn't work wx may use void*'s, so try const wxString* str = (const wxString*) *iter; This one obvious works... But that's just what I want to avoid (and the point of this whole topic)... If you use std::vector or std::map or something like that ... Then when you use (const-)iterators.....

Well, I tried this: [syntax="c"] StringArray sa; sa.Add( new wxString(wxT("One")) ); sa.Add( new wxString(wxT("Two")) ); sa.Add( new wxString(wxT("Three")) ); sa.Add( new wxString(wxT("Four")) ); for(size_t i = 0; i < sa.Count(); i++) { wxString *str = sa ; } for(StringArray::iterator iter = sa.begi...

No need for an example ;) I am very used to C++/wxWidgets already... Why I want to use pointers is because of the copy-principle. Now I can simply use a pointer (1 time allocation, 1 time deallocation of memory). When you use this array of objects (correct me if i'm wrong) you are returned a copy of...

I am NOT using the vector... I am using the wxWidgets wxArray implementation, which is derived from wxBaseVoidPtrArray or something like that which is std::vector<void const *>

Yes, it is a bug. But it is a more widespread bug then you can imagine! check this: [syntax="php"] <? echo strftime('%c', mktime(0,0,0,10,31,2004) + (24*60*60) ); ?> [/syntax] 24*60*60 = 1day (24h, 60min, 60sec)... Normally it should return 1/11/2004 0:00:00, but it returns 31/10/2004 23:00:00... [e...

please change the single threaded... to the "Debug Multithreaded DLL" (it has to be same in all the dlls of your program and in your program). Next, please add kernel.lib everywhere... I once encountered a very hard to debug error which was solved by adding kernel.lib (but it even linked fine withou...

Because in earlier times (read: 2.4 and before) it gave me some real problems... Now I always have to do like reinterpret_cast<ListViewData const *>(*ci) for example... It's not as nice as being able to say "*ci" just like that ... I think it is because any array is derived from std::vector<void con...

I am currently thinking of something like a daily parsing of the html-pages (constants and functions). That way you are always updated with the latest generated functions.
Then you can easily check on words against the local database... Much quicker ;)

What libraries did you include?

What is the setting of the "C++ -> Code Generation" tab.

Can you tell me (both of the main application and the DLL).

What kind of dll are you aiming for? One where you include the .lib into, or one where you can load dynamical symbols from?

wxUSE_STL + dynamic arrays

Is it just me, but when you have 'wxUSE_STL = 0', and you try to use dynamic arrays and iterators from them... It doesn't seem to work? for ( vRoutes::const_iterator rte_ci = rts.begin(); rte_ci != rts.end(); rte_ci++ ) { it seems to work when i set wxUSE_STL = 1. But then it gives a lot of about co...

I solved it by adding that Yield, later on I removed it after changing some code, and then it didn't seem to be needed anymore...

Very weird issue though. But I can't be of any assistance with this as I don't really know how to solve it
