Re: wxWebView Showing up Blank Some OSX Mavericks

IIRC, on OSX, wxWebView does not render properly when launched from within a wxDialog

See this:

Re: wxWidgets 3.0.0 on Mac OS X with MacPorts and CMake

I think that building your own wxWidgets on Mac will be easier Have a look at codelite's wiki page that explains how to build codelite on OSX (obviously, you can skip Step 3): http://codelite.org/Developers/BuildingCodeLiteOnAMac Using Step 1 and Step 2 will give you a wxWidgets that works with CMak...

Re: Using wxWebView to create C++ app with HTML user interfa

So i can make one app that works on both WIndows and Linux. Is that correct? You can write your code using wxWidgets it will also give you the same result: your application run on all OSs (you need to compile it first...) wxWidgets _is_ cross platform Which is the best IDE to develop wxWidgets apps...

Re: Using wxWebView to create C++ app with HTML user interfa

It is possible to achieve what you want. I did the same by simply modifying the document title and then catching the 'EVT_WEBVIEW_TITLE_CHANGED' event In your example, when user clicks on a button, you should catch it in a JavaScript handler that does something like: <html> <head> <script> function ...

Re: wxWidgets displays everything incorrectly (windows)

You should have a .rc file in your project and compile it with windres Create a new file name it resources.rc and put this content into it: #include "wx/msw/wx.rc" 1 24 "wx/msw/wx.manifest" Compile it like this: windres -i resources.rc --use-temp-file --define __WXMSW__ --define _UNICODE --include-d...

Re: On OS X wx-config --cxx does provide more then the compi

Hi, I personally never used the --cxx flag but only --cxxflags I did encounter this issue when a colleague of mine reported that he can't build codelite IDE on OSX 10.9 (got link errors) My research lead me to this ticket http://trac.wxwidgets.org/ticket/15618 which suggested that on OSX 10.9 I need...

Re: wxFormBuilder building

Hi skywalker, You can also try wxCrafter (in its free version it contains more controls than wxFormBuilder - so you don't need to purchase the full version) You can get the standalone version for OSX from here (built for 10.8 but it also runs on 10.9): http://downloads.codelite.org/wxCrafter/ Hello ...

Re: wxThread::Delete doesn't block on unix platform

According to the docs, it says that Delete() should be used on Joinable threads (it will also block on them when passing the proper parameter to Delete() ) http://docs.wxwidgets.org/3.0/classwx_thread.html#a66796042bf5f3eb33a0ad3db85f686d4 I am not sure how you are calling 'Delete()' on a detached t...

Re: wxThread::Delete doesn't block on unix platform

If your thread is a detached thread (created with the wxTHREAD_DETACHED flag) - then there is no "Join" The caller thread (usually, the main thread) is not supposed to wait for the worker thread The worker thread will delete itself when its done (i.e. when it exits its main loop) If your thread is c...

Re: Create wxFrame on thread Demand

You should send an event from the worker thread to the main thread. If you are using wxWidgets 2.9.5 / trunk, then a better and simple approach is calling CallAfter on the main window from the thread Something like: // Thread code void* MyThread::Run() { while ( !TestDestroy() ) { ... m_mainFrame->...

Re: wxTextCtrl, multiple threads, and cout redirection?

How about redirecting your std:cout to a file, and have a background thread checking this file for changes, once a change is detected - post an event to the main thread with the text to append to the textctrl.

It's basically like implementing a tail ...

Re: Moving a project to Windows 7

The problem is that Windows already has Yield defined somewhere... but it is also a function in wxApp.

To avoid this error, change the include order:
Make sure that <wx/app.h> is included before any Windows' include files
