Re: wxExecute, detach process

Have you tried running your installer with wxExecute?

This works (i.e. closing parent app will not terminate your calc program):

Code: Select all

::wxExecute("cmd /c calc", wxEXEC_ASYNC | wxEXEC_MAKE_GROUP_LEADER | wxEXEC_HIDE_CONSOLE);

Re: drawing wxBitmap: doesn't refresh before every time it d

1. Make sure you also capture the. Erase background event. Inside it, clear the paint area by drAwing a rectangle with size of the panel Hmm, I gave a bad advise here... You should capture the EVT_ERASE_BACKGROUND event, but do nothing in it - this will remove the flickering Also, avoid using wxCli...

Re: drawing wxBitmap: doesn't refresh before every time it d

Some tips:
1. Make sure you also capture the. Erase background event. Inside it, clear the paint area by drAwing a rectangle with size of the panel
2. Use wxBufferedPaintDC in In OnPaint event handler and use it to draw
3. Capture the ON_SIZE event and simply call refresh

If you are still looking for IPC, I have written a small wrapper around ZeroMQ which can be found here: https://github.com/eranif/ZeroMQCxxAPI here is how a client code looks like: https://github.com/eranif/ZeroMQCxxAPI/blob/master/ZMQClientTester/main.cpp And the server code: https://github.com/era...

Which border exactly you want to remove?
Do you have a screenshot of "before" and "after" ?

Re: wxThread or c++11 thread?

I would stick to wxThread. Since it is a wrapper around other classes (pthread, Win Thread etc) Using wxThread will make sure that your code will still compile when using an older compiler which does not support C++11 thread. Also, I would expect that sometime in the future, wxThread will wrap std::...

Re: What is this? Can I remove it at the AuiNotebook?

This is an indicator that the focus is set on the tab label
This is why you won't get mouse event in your panel, because he does not has the focus.

Removing this won't help, you need to make sure that the focus is set at your panel to get the mouse events

Re: What debugger do you use under OS X ?

And nice to know you thought CodeLite to be able to act as lldb front-end w/o project migration : nice Yes, this feature is implemented since we first integrated gdb into codelite, so continuing this direction with lldb only seems naturally I will try to find some time to package codelite on OSX th...
