UNICODE and conversion question

I've some questions about UNICODE and how to convert the strings. I've got following code: wxMBConvUTF16 conv; wxString xmlAttr(atts[i], conv); wxCharBuffer tmp1 = xmlAttr.mb_str(conv); wxCharBuffer tmp2 = conv.cWC2MB(xmlAttr.c_str()); xmlAttr = wxString::FromAscii(tmp1); 1. Why does tmp1 contains t...

Sometimes the following works and sometimes not: void ModulesXMLParser::StartElementHandler(void *userData, const XML_Char *name, const XML_Char **atts) { wxMBConvUTF16 conv; wxString xmlName(name); wxCharBuffer tmp = xmlName.mb_str(conv); xmlName = wxString::FromAscii(tmp); ModulesXMLParser *modxml...

After some testing I've found this as a solution:

Code: Select all

	wxString xmlName(name);
	wxMBConvUTF16 conv;

	wxCharBuffer tmp = xmlName.mb_str(conv);
	xmlName = xmlName.FromAscii(tmp);
Is this the best way to do this?

UNICODE expat --> wxString

I've build expat 2.0 with UNICODE. This uses internally UTF-16 and wchar_t. When I use the parser, it sees all the tags, but the strings it reports contain weird (Chinese) characters. This is an example code: void ModulesXMLParser::StartElementHandler(void *userData, const XML_Char *name, const XML_...

The script is interpreted by the wxJS.exe program or by mod_wxjs when used on an Apache server. When you have your own JS runtime, it's also possible to load the DLL's from your own C/C++ programs.

wxJS (JavaScript wxWidgets) 0.8.5 released

A new version of wxJS (JavaScript wxWidgets) is released at http://wxjs.sourceforge.net . You can use wxJS to write scripts in JavaScript (like you do with Perl for example) using the power of wxWidgets classes. extract.js is a good example on what you can do with wxJS. This script extracts the docu...

wxJS 0.8.4 released

A new version of wxJS is released. wxJS ports wxWidgets to JavaScript. The most important news is that it now contains an Apache module. This makes it possible to use JavaScript and the ported wxWidgets classes to create dynamic web pages.

Take a look at http://wxjs.sourceforge.net
