I've tried the following but it doesn't work:

Code: Select all

    wxCSConv conv(wxT("WINDOWS-1252"));
    wxMBConvUTF16 utf16; // The orginal string is stored in UTF-16
    wxString output(text.wc_str(utf16), conv);
    wxPrintf(output);

wchar_t portability

wchar_t is 2 bytes on windows. On Linux it's 4 bytes. SpiderMonkey internally uses 2 bytes on both platforms (it uses uint16). How do I convert a wxString on Linux from those 4 bytes to 2 bytes? I use UTF-16 for the encoding of wxString.

Export function of DLL on Linux

The library itself loads, but when I use the GetSymbol method of the wxDynamicLibrary, I always get 'undefined symbol'. This is how I defined the exported methods: #ifndef WXJS_H_ #define WXJS_H_ #includ...

There's wxJS . Don't know how good it does on the embeding front, but apparently you can have it call C++ libaries, so it sounds promising, but don't know what that means for the rest of your app (like does the entire app need to be written in JavaScript to start with, then call C++ functions, or c...
