Re: Message Fonts

Is it possible to change the font/font size used in wxMessageBox and wxMessageDialog? Thank you, -Rocko wxMessageDialog is derived from wxWindow , so: wxFont font(...); wxMessageDialog msg(....); msg.SetFont(font); // wxWindow::SetFont(const wxFont&) msg.ShowModal(); That would work (just that you ...

I think wxHtmlWindow isn't capable of displaying html files from a webserver (http://...). It only works with pages accessible via file system. I 'm using the following workaround to open the url with the default webbrowser: I have derived a class from wxHtmlWindow and overridden the function OnOpe...

Yeah, I went to fallingsand.com and looking over the material descriptions, there were quite a few interactions I didn't know about, like how sand destroys sprouts. So user help would definately be a good thing.

Yup, it is.

Use:

Code: Select all

wxDir::GetAllFiles(myDir, &theFiles, wxT("*.xml"), wxDIR_FILES);
The file extension needs to have the '*.' in front of it I think.

The & might not be required in front of 'theFiles' either, but I pass an actual pointer in my call so maybe it is for your case.

I havn't worked with wxTextFile much but it looks like this is your problem if I understand the docs correctly: 'tf' seems to store an instance of the text file. However you are not replacing anything in it. Instead you are setting a wxString to a line's contents. So, when you do tf.Write() you're j...

In keeping with what Jorg said, some puzzles would be extremely cool. As an example: Say you have a pre-built level with water flowing through it. The objective of the level is to have the water collect in some container (a jar or |_| shaped object). To accomplish this, you are only given say, the w...

Welll I know it's not very good habit to use a bloaded LIB file, but the reason I'm wanting to use it is because there is really NO way to tell what lib file contain what symbols. The documentation will tell you, for each class, which header file must be included but it doesn't mention which lib fi...

Yeah, was thinking the same thing but didn't see it in wxString. Forgot that was its own class :P

I don't see why this shouldn't be transparent to the user by default. As it is in wxGTK right now I could understand the developer wanting to set a max width or something, but otherwise yes, by default it should be wrapped. No one wants to look at a potentially screen-resolution-long (i.e. 1024) on...

I know for a fact it's possible but I've never done it so I can't tell ya how. Search this forum for "monolithic build" and you might find an answer, otherwise I'm sure someone who has done it will come along.

Re: Converting strings to ints...

Hi! I have this problem now: I have a textctrl with a number of lines in it.Each line has certain numbers, which actually are strings(in order to get into the textctrl). Now I want to convert each line's numbers into ints again and put them into let's say an array.Have in mind that there are spaces ...

Yeah I've had this problem too. Very annoying. What I ended up doing was making sure my tooltips that used a \n had at least one non-spaced line that was as long as my longest tooltip. In my particular case it worked based on what I was using the tooltips for (the ones that used \n) but it was a ver...

Are you saying you want to focus the window? You can try something like this: // You can use any wxWindow for this, I just created one quick for demonstration purposes wxWindow* w = new wxWindow(NULL,wxID_ANY); // Assuming the window you want focused has id 10000 w->FindWindowById(10000)->SetFocus()...
