I think I've seen something like this. Let me look at the docs and I'll get back to you. Edit: Well I didn't see anything. One thing that may work is to try wxWindow::SetMaxSize() (and maybe SetMinSize()) and set them to the same size as your window size. Not sure but that may disable the maximize b...

What is the status of 2.6.3 RC1? It has been about a month and there is no word. I am in the process of migrating a project to a new Linux distro and now is the perfect opportunity to switch to wxGTK 2.6.3. From what I could tell browsing the Dev mailing list, it sounds like some bugs cropped up an...

Well wxCursor takes a wxString, not a CString, for the path. You could try changing that. Though honestly wxString should be able to recognize a CString too and convert it. But hey, worth a try.

Add this to your function:

Code: Select all

Update();
Refresh();

I doubt it, wxHTMLWindow isn't very powerful (it can't even display frames so that should tell ya something). What you might want to look into is either wxIE or wxMozilla which are 3rd party libraries that embed those particular browsers into your App. They are a lot more full-featured, considering ...

Is there a wxWidgets component that will write to this portion of the registry?

Tom
wxRegKey should do it, though I havn't worked with it personally.

What happens if you use:

Code: Select all

wxString* s = nodef->GetValue();
const char *fn = s->c_str();
Does it still crash? I suspect your problem is that you can't typecast a wxString like that. You may also want to try:

Code: Select all

const char *fn = nodef->GetValue()->c_str();

I'm assuming you want something like a toggle button, right? You might take a look at something like this that I found in these forums awhile back: http://forums.wxwidgets.org/viewtopic.php?t=4399 That is a bitmap button that changes depending on the event state (i.e. mouse over, mouse down, etc). U...

I can't speak for Macs, but I know at least on Windows there are some bugs with wxHTTP and wxURL (especially GetInputStream). It sounds to me like the Mac build has the same problem.

Re: Zoom a wxGrid?

Has anyone done this? I'd like to be able to zoom in and out on a wxGrid (like Excel can). Any hints on how to implement this? Or is it just impossible with the current wxGrid? I don't know for sure but I find it unlikely. wxGrid isn't too advanced (and somewhat buggy most of the time). Maybe if yo...

To be honest, I've never been able to get wxMozilla to compile myself either. From everything I've heard it seems to be very touchy that way. So I have a feeling it's not so much VS 2005 as it is something isn't setup right in wxMozilla. But maybe someone who has gotten it working will know what you...

Try: wxGrid::SetMargins(-20, -20); I think that will work, since it lowers the margin enough that the scrollbar doesn't appear (you are basically fooling it into thinking it doesn't need one). It worked for me but your situation might be different. You may have to mess with the numbers some more to ...

Though not an ideal solution, this might work. Before the Show()/Hide() call, do this: wxWindow* w = new wxWindow(NULL,wxID_ANY); w = w->FindFocus(); // Call Show() or whatever now w->SetFocus(); I think that will work though I havn't tried it. You could also probably use GetId() or something to fig...

As far as I know, you'll have to override the OnPaint event and use:

Code: Select all

dc.SetBackgroundMode(wxTRANSPARENT);
Unless it is possible to pass that in via a wxClientDC or something, I havn't tried.
