Re: Cannot open include file: 'wx/setup.h' using Win install

2.9.4 would not download as it gave an error in the right hand corner of the download page and said to try another version.

Cannot open include file: 'wx/setup.h' using Win installer

I just uninstalled MSVC 2008 and my old WxWidgets-2.8.11. I install MSVC 2010 and grab the 2.9.3 exe installer (Windows installer) for the build stuff. So, I load up everything and do a batch build and I get 18 failures due to that message. I look in the headers and that sucker is for the Unix build...

LOL, hehe.

We all know how programmers hate to write docs, well most of us anyway, so that doesn't surprise me.

Well, it does react if it is already "minimized" just not when it is fully opened. Possibly WAI though I am unsure.

IconizeEvent in Windows.

void OnIconize(wxIconizeEvent& event) { if (event.Iconized() == false) this->Iconize(false); } The above works when I have my window already minimized and wish to double click it on the taskbar to bring it up again but void OnIconize(wxIconizeEvent& event) { if (event.Iconized() == false) this->Ico...

What is the matter with having a GPL library?

Not to worry my friend and we will track this down for sure. When you get a chance, or I do, send me a pm, or I will you, just to be sure the other party knows a post was made as I am very likely to miss it if a bunch of postings happen.

Thank you for your help. :)

I am not exactly sure what you just said. Are you saying that their code is leaking memory because they left out the destructors? As far as grid classes go I am not using my own grid class I am using theirs and following their code so where would I put my own destructor (still trying to figure out i...

This might be the case but not even the native one would tell me line numbers I could double click but I read they did. Maybe 2008/2010 just doesn't have that ability when using 3rd party stuff. It could be 2008 started down the path of trying to kill unmanaged code (i.e. C++) like 2010 is trying to...

Usually you only have to doubleclick the entry and it will show the corresponding file/line. Yep, but it didn't so when I read up on getting msvc to do it I double clicked it as well and I could click either until the cows came home it simply never popped up anything. I tried it with the program ru...

Well, it gave me the backtrace etc... but I take it the number in parens is the line number? I tried that and scrolled to that number that was given in the parens but there was nothing there.

doublemax: I tried it out and I have 460 bytes of memory being leaked just getting to my main menu and exiting the program. Now I can't figure out how to tell what is memory leaking with it so I turned on the built in MSVC memory leak detector and it is detecting leaks in all sorts of wxwidgets code...

Thanks doublemax I will try that out. ...Try wxGridCellRenderer *Clone() const { return new MyGridCellRenderer; } to wxGridCellRenderer *Clone() const { return new MyGridCellRenderer (*this); } that way you return the pointer and not the entire class; I think!! I have no idea if there is anything hi...

I am on Windows so if anyone knows of a way on here I would like to know.

I use Visual Studio for my production and mingw for my internal builds as I design it.
