Compiling wxWidgets with MinGW - Solution?

Hi, I probably figured out a bug in the makefile for MinGW. The makefile.gcc in build/msw uses as a second step the gcc preprocessor to produce a header. But make or mingw32-make struggles to execute it correctly. My solution beside playing with the SHELL setting is to execute the specific command i...

Compile problem with MinGW

Hi, I started to port my code completely to MinGW. While doing this I encountered a compile problem with undefined macros like WINAPI or DWORD in some MinGW Windows header. The following make command is a sample how I currently build wxWidgets code: g++ -c -DWINDOWS -g -D__WXMSW__ -I. -Iq:/develop/T...

I have ported the wxRibbon to wxMSW 2.8.5 or later

Hi, as of my tryings to use wxMSW 2.9.0 with Open Watcom I stopped trying wxRibbon, but ported the code to compile with Open Watcom using wxMSW 2.8.5. The screenshots for the Windows platform are looking the same thus I omit these. But also I tried to port the code to Mac OS X and I got partly succe...

About mac OS X, I would highly recommend using 2.9.1/trunk, it has improved a lot there. About your problem : this is mac OS X Snow Leopard, so g++ defaults to building 64-bits binaries, but it won't work because Carbon isn't fully available there. So you'll need to build with -arch i386; also, if ...

Thanks, I have seen that I should use the trunk version and not a prepared package. Instead of doing so, as I have problems with 2.9.0 in general, I have ported the wxRibbon library to at least wxMSW 2.8.5. I got the code and the sample compiled. The wxRibbon code is compilable as a DLL. Tested is t...

wxRibbon and trial of current wxAll 2.9.0

Hi, as I am currently working with DevExpress on .NET, I came into contact with ribbons and think it is my next important development step in GUI polish. I tried to build the wxALL 2.9.0 snapshot (not daily) on my Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard, on Windows XP with Open Watcom 1.7 and Visual Studio C++ 2...

Mixing MinGW and Open Watcom compiler

Hi,

has anyone tried mixing compilers?

I have created a small non wxWidgets sample, but it may be interesting.

Here is my blog post: http://blog.lollisoft.de/?p=20

Some questions about exceptions, unit test libs and licenses

Hi, I played with my own unit test implementation at a first start of using unit tests, but now found that MiniCppUnitTest may be suitable enough for me - if it will be usable on Windows with mixing compiler Open Watcom and MinGW. MinGW for the MiniCppUnit library part it self. But there are two rea...

I have not said 'unstable'. I have sayíd 'usable'. The problem are the language features used in cppunit may not work with Open Watcom. But OTOH I started adding support for mingw in my build system, thus I'll get this issue solved I think.

Currently I try to use mingw and thus gcc. I'll support it beside Open Watcom and try to integrate the generated modules (ACE based) with my other OW based code. The last step for now is to link the module to my centralized 'hook' module. All other modules are loaded at runtime. Currently I do not l...

wxresizeablecontrol component problem

Hi, I tried to add support for a resizeable wxTextCtrl with the wxresizeablecontrol classes. But I have no success. Here is the code I use to create a text control: s = "Some text"; if (!m_resizecanvas) m_resizecanvas = new wxResizeableControlCanvas(this,-1); ParentControl *parent = new ParentContro...

Code::Blocks wxSmith plugin

Hi, I just have tried out the Code::Blocks IDE and the wxSmith plugin on my Mac OS X. As I do not yet have a berlios account to submit a bug I'll ask here about my problem. My OS is Mac OS X Leopard on PowerPC. When I create a new project with the settings to use wxSmith as the GUI designer and wxFr...

wxguitest and open watcom?

Hi,

I have read about the GUI testing framework and it looks interesting for GUI testing. But it uses cppunit.

My question: Is wxguitest actually usable with open watcom compiler?

Thanks

Connect and focus event

Hi, I tried to use the focus event to do something. I connected the set focus event dynamically, but it doesn't work. My system is Mac OS X and I am using wxMac 2.8.10. wxTextCtrl *text = new wxTextCtrl(this, -1, s->charrep(), wxPoint(), wxDefaultSize); text->SetName(name); text->Connect( wxEVT_SET_...
