Hi Joel, I have VC2003 & VC2005 and cannot get wxDevCpp to work with either. Your enviroment setup program cant find the toolkit, which makes sense because I can no longer down load it. However I thought the full versions of VC2003 & 2005 would have included the relavent bits and therefore not havin...

I have Notebooks with wxGrid inside, works pretty well. mygrid = new wxGrid(mynotebook, GRID_ID); mynotebook->AddPage(mygrid,_("some Grid"),false); Same with wxPanel for example. phlox How does one access the grid in this notebook page, if ...

Borland ditching IDEs, Impact on wxDevCpp?

Hi all,

Just saw a notice on Borlands C++ non-technical newsgroup that they are ditching the IDE business. Will this affect wxDevCpp?

That is, with the proposition that there will no longer be a delphi does that mean DevCpp is also in danger?

Hi Lowjoel, I did as you suggested. The result seems a little worse. I now get a very long list of linker errors. Now I'm really lost as to what to try next. For posterities sake here is the compile log: Compiler: MS VC++ 2003 Building Makefile: "C:\Dev-Cpp\Projects\MsProject\Makefile.win" Executing...

Hi lowjoel, I had a look at the rc file, but I dont know what I'm looking for in terms of an error. I've pasted it below. It looks the same as the rc file I use with gcc. I did find a couple of related articles though here: http://forums.wxwidgets.org/viewtopic.php?t=3012&highlight=define+wxusenoman...

Ok Last one for today. It seems to compile now. I now get the following error:

[Error CVT1100] duplicate resource. type:MANIFEST, name:1, language:0x0409
[Error LNK1123: failure during conversion to COFF] file invalid or corrupt

Any idea how to fix these?

Ok I think I've found the source of the problem. I was using older stream classes. Replaced now with std::fstream. Now I've hit another hurdle. I keep getting an error: [Error C2504] 'wxGLCanvas' : base class undefined This did seem to compile before so I dont understand whats going on. Just thought...

You can download the executables there, along with the devcpp.pallete file needed. There are also changes-log files, and the version with VC compiler inside another folder. I've had a go at using the VC version of Devcpp. I can compile an exe with RebuildAll after folowing the instructions. However...

Hi Guys, I've been using 6.9 for a week or two now and it seems a little more stable than 6.8. Top stuff!! One thing I've noticed is the tendantcy for some controls to be given VB or Delphi names. I can understand there use but it ends up being a little of a niusance when trying to figure out how to...

There is an error in the tut. The zip file should work. However if you are going through it step by step then do the following: From the text it says: "Now add the following line to the ProjectFrm.cpp constructor (highlighted)" The highlighted line is wrong. It should read: new MyGLCanvas instead of...

No. I pass "parent" (a wxWindow pointer) to wxGLCanvas. So this should not be a problem. For some reason though the code insight thing says parent is a wxHtmlHelpDataItem. That I dont understand!?

Hi, I've tried to compile my simple opengl program. It compiles but fails to link. In the IDE (code insight thing) I see that for wxGLCanvas instead of wxGLCanvas(parent,...........) where parent should be a wxWindow, instead parent is a wxHtmlHelpDataItem? Wierd! same code compiles and links fine i...
