Haha, this is beyond my scope, I don't use Linux/GTK/Qt.

Leio (IIRC you're the maintainer of wxGTK) perhaps you wanna comment?

I don't think it is possible under Windows, but I'm not sure if that hold true for other platforms (I only checked the ComboBox class for a message to send though, wxWidgets may have used the ComboBoxEx or the other classes that look identical under MSW that allow this functionality. I do know Delph...

wxTextCtrl *TE1 = wxDynamicCast(NoteBook1->GetCurrentPage, wxTextCtrl); TE1->WriteText("TestString"); does not have a wxTextCtrl, the cast will fail. wxNoteBook::GetCurrentPage returns a wxSplitterWindow in your case since you AddPage()'d a wxSplitterWindow. Thus, you should write this. wxTextCtrl*...

The first problem I see is that out_stream.Write(&CustObj, sizeof(CustObj)); will not work. This is because sizeof(CustObj) is the same as sizeof(void*) since you are calling for the size of the pointer, not the class. Second problem is that you're writing the pointer to the pointer, which is anothe...

In your constructor you must set those two variables' values, otherwise they will be given garbage values and your code will draw at the wrong coordinates (if you did specify the coordinates of the drawing then please post more code for me to help you)

Are you using the EN-US or EN-GB keyboard? IIRC there should be no difference.

You forgot to declare the class name in your member function (it's not 'void button1OnClick(wxCopmmandEvent&)' but 'void yourClassName::button1OnClick(wxCopmmandEvent&)')

Nothing was changed int he function tips code. Saving code has not been changed either (Tony did not change the file monitor code which was changed in HEAD) No you cannot disable screenshots. You'll have to manually remove the attachment (or just skip sending the thing to us, of which we won't know ...

Firstly, you must declare it as std::string because the string class is declared in the std namespace.

Secondly, you must place the = "" in your constructor, since initialization code must be in constructors. However, since std::string defaults to an empty string you do not need to do so.

Yes you can. Declare the two values as variables in your class declaration.

One problem I see is that your paint function is a Command Event function. It should be a Paint Event function (void className::functionName(wxPaintEvent& event))

wxWidgets provides no functionality for this. You'll have to usea global key hook (see MSDN, look for Key Hooks)

Remember that (obviously) things like wxALIGN_LEFT cannot be combined with wxALIGN_RIGHT nor can wxALIGN_TOP be combined with wxALIGN_BOTTOM etc. These should be quite obvious (if so it's just a reminder)

Yes I know the code completion cache thing isn't good (at all). I want to rewrite it but I do not know how to go about doing so (this was taken from the original Dev-C++). You are VERY welcome to help me if you can (remember C++ is arguably the most complex and ambiguous programming language on eart...

You can forward the events to the listctrl. I'm not sure if that works though.

But why do you need to do this?
